Does this open them for some Warped dates?

Very likely - the three bands at the top of the bill last year played the outdoor stage, including Lagwagon who was the "main headliner."

Underoath not hitting Chicago probably means Open Air, honestly

birdie told me UO is doing select warped dates which is why this is probably b/c market

Also, what a god awful support lineup. Who would have thought that Dance Gavin Dance would be opening an UO tour? ESPECIALLY in 2018

DGD is bigger than ever. What's surprising about that?

Thanks @withchappedlips I got really heated & confused when I started reading the responses to the leaked lineup. Namely @cwhit I guess it's my bad for thinking that UO could possibly take out bands that they influenced over the yrs, I'm particularly hyped that they are taking out Limbs due to the fact that Tim & others have been posting about them for the past yr.

i mean it's mostly this lineup could fit with any single one of like 50 metalcore headliners. i feel like i've seen this exact same tour before with a band different than underoath. after they brought out a sick post rock band last time i imagined they'd do something interesting and not like, a generic lineup that TDWP or TWA or whatever other band you can think of might have taken out

DGD isn't even a Metalcore band, though lol. They're more of an Alexisonfire/At The Drive In type band.

Is it not fun? The lineups actually kind of look cool, y'know, for what they are.

I actually really enjoyed DGD's set at warped last year.

yeah but their usual support tours are generally with the same kind of bands. their headliners are different but i feel they're always rumored on the same sort of tours

and honestly if they're even slightly considered a warped tour band they're already part of that scene lol

DGD is great. Will Swan is such a solid guitarist. Despite the lineup changes over the years, he's kept a pretty cohesive sound intact.

DGD is totally in that scene, but this current era and lineup they're in now is the best they've ever been.

One, DGD as direct support is pretty sweet.

Two, damn people hate Rams Head Live?

I just think it has the same Copy/Paste formula that every other Metal fest has these days. Neither bad nor good, just meh on it all.

The Acoustics to me do not always sound the best and I personally despise the Power Plant area solely because of the crowd around it. It's not the worst venue by any means just small gripes.

the sound is absolutely dreadful there, probably because the venue is weirdly shaped

I don't mind the venue itself, I'm moreso not a fan or their staff, but they've gotten better with this latest resistance of shows there. I wish this was at The Fillmore as well, would be say more convenient.
