I wish they had picked up on Through, but Sure and Certain didn't seem to do too bad. When I saw them Spring 2016, a lot of people went wild for Sure & Certain, so that was cool.

 

sure and certain garnered the attention of a lot of people who hadnt paid attention since futures and earlier, i saw a lot of "wow i cant believe theyre still around and still sound this good" when it dropped.

 

Totes. An incredible "comeback" single for people who tuned out in 2005.

i was living in Austin when IB came out and Sure and Certain was in heavy rotation on more than one station.

It's a strange phenomenon: You can play it on your phone at literally any time, but you get SO amped hearing an artist you love that much spontaneously come on the actual radio lol

i was gonna say The Middle is overrated but id be conflating "overrated" and "overplayed" i think, like i dont think anyone really considers The Middle pinnacle JEW songwriting or anything its just a sturdy, euphoric pop rock tune.

Definitely overplayed. Without The Middle we may not still have this wonderful band in our lives.
