Hey Cavs fans, we have basketball again today! I would like to see Lue use a Love/Frye front court more this series. We did it some against ATL and I really like the idea of it. It essentially renders Biyombo ineffective on defense and takes his rebounding away some. With Val out and Bismack stuck defending a stretch big on the perimeter, there is really no recourse for Toronto. There is no "hack a whomever" to turn to. They pretty much have to hope the Cavs aren't hitting on that particular night.

 

The "clown" discussion is fully applicable here.

 

I think everyone know the Russ play was a travel. Same with the Waiters inbound play. Unless they are going to start overturning calls upon a review in NJ nothing is going to change. The NBA does not ref strictly on fouls and violations. To me, it's more about entertainment management. If they were reffing purely for the rules something would have been done about travelling a while ago. But they actually did the opposite. They wrote in their rules that dribblers can take 2 full steps and have essentially punted that violation by and large. The crew that missed the Kendrick Perkins travel for the Cavs last year would have been reprimanded if it was only about the rules. Skip just needs to chill out with his hot takes.
