@iplaydrums You've mentioned being an extra a few times. Are you allowed to say what show/movie?

I've had people at work complain about my piercing (left ear, upper cartilage) being "unprofessional" before and didn't get a job once because I didn't take it out for the interview.

@Garrett L. I can PM you specifics. It's kind of touch and go depending on if the episode/movie has aired and been released and stuff like that. I'll PM anyone that's curious, but I'd rather not say publicly in case at some point I tell any stories.

@iplaydrums Totally get/respect that. My roommate in college was on an episode of 30 Rock and he couldn't talk about it for like four months until the day before it aired.

I'm always surprised what my job lets me get away with makeup and clothing-wise

PS today my eye makeup was amazing and I couldn't get any good pics of it :-/

    How have the results been?

EDIT: Oh and I'm just now hearing about heated eyelash curlers? This is a thing? I need one now.

If you heat your eyelash curler with a blow dryer (just make sure it's not too hot!) it does the same thing. I did it once but it made my eyelashes SO curly that it looked weird lol

It varies from brand to brand, honestly! My favorite ones that I've used are these. They're kind of hard to get into at first, and they feel like ICE, but my skin always feels soft after I use them, and I feel like a rich mom laying in one of those while watching TV haha.

You may have just changed my eyelash game bc I have never heated my eyelash curler before.

I need something to make my face soft. The reg. masks I've tried suck and I've tried expensive and cheap. I moisturize really well it's just sometimes I need that extra something to give me some glow haha

I'm just working on finding a good moisturizer! My skincare routine overall (since I finally adopted a real one) has been showing results, just can't find a moisturizer that doesn't make me itch.

@carina What does your skincare routine look like? Also, do you still have that article you had posted on Facebook a few weeks ago about building a skincare routine for beginners or something to that effect?

I can find it for you! I think it was from Mask Magazine.

Right now, my routine looks like:
Cleansers: Mizon Snail Foam Cleanser; Laneige Foaming Cleanser; Clean It Zero (makeup remover)
Toner: Bioderma Micellar Water; CosRX Aha/Bha Cleansing Toner
Exfoliator: (normally just use sheet masks or Daiso Japan's charcoal face mask)
Spot Treatment: CosRX Acne Pimple Master Patch (or hydrocolloid bandages, but these are pre-cut)

For fading acne scars, I use this vitamin C cream I found at Walgreens.

Micellar water is a god send. I love it.

    @carina Thank you!!

My skin is so fucking annoying. I technically have combination skin (I think) that's more on the oily side. But any oil free products increase my skin's oil production and anything meant specifically to dry out your skin dries mine out way too much.

everyone says that if your skin is oily, it means you need a better moisturizer, but that only turns my face from oily to the Grease Factory. i use oil-based cleansers occasionally, but usually i don't trust them lol. vitamin e and that makeup cleanser, and that's it.

unfortunately, finding what works is an expensive game of trial and error, but i love ordering/buying k-beauty products because they give out little samples! i love samples!

@carina The moisturizer I'm using now is good. And then I just use either Simple's Micellar Water or their Micellar Water wipes on my face halfway throughout the day if my face is looking greasy.

Also, if anyone needs a good leave-in or hair mask for curly hair, I love Camille Rose. On the pricier end, but their products smell so good and my hair looks its best when I use it versus Miss Jessie or Shea Moisture.

I need to get micellar wipes! I have regular face wipes and they're good and all, but they can be drying.

It also works well as a make-up remover if I've been on set all day and have been slathered in gunk or if I've been practicing all day and sweating and just wanna clean up my face a little bit. I found out about it from Ingrid Nilsen. What a godsend.

My mom has bad allergies when it comes to foundation and the only one she can use is some expensive ass shit lol I'd die if I had to pay that much for a bottle of foundation.

One of my close friends can only get her shade from a luxury brand, #blessed honestly

She has to buy 2 different colors and mix them so it's doubly expensive. I believe I just wouldn't wear makeup if I had to go through all of that.

I'm using NARS Sheer Glow foundation rn and I like it. It's super buildable so I can slather on a lot if I need it and it doesn't look cakey. I've still never tried a foundation so amazing that it was worth raving about tho. It was almost Kat Von D's foundation but it didn't mesh well with my oily skin. My skin is all broken out rn and I forgot to pack my concealer.

So, I know when it comes to stretch marks they all seem to agree that cocoa butter is the way to go. I've finally got the weight flux under control (in 2011 I was up to my heaviest, currently sitting forty pounds below that, hoping to go another 10 but I'm finally in the range my doctor wanted me to get in then maintain for a year), but I still have all the marks. Do you guys have any suggestions for brands that work better than others? I had the distinct disadvantage of growing eight inches in six months and then got fat all in middle school, so it was a double whammy for stretch mark creation.
