And I trust Theo & Jed with everything. And the team essentially prints money, so there's no way this should impact signing KB when it comes time to do so.

I hope Arrieta lands on his feet somewhere and does well. It's going to suck seeing him pitch elsewhere. I'll finally be one of those people who has a jersey of a player who goes to another team.

Stanton would get that money or more on the open market. I get that argument though. It was still a bad trade for Marlins.

huh? i mean, probably, to the extent that in this market every 6-7 year contract for a 31-32 year old is going to end up being bad for the last couple years of it but this contract is way lower than what I would've guessed he'd get in January, or in a year where the owners weren't colluding to drive prices down.
