Do they? If you experienced those cycles firsthand, it's hard NOT to be sentimental.

For being Thrice's number one fan, you sure do dislike a lot of their best stuff. Yellowbelly, Like Moths to Flame and now this!?

Yellow Belly and Like Moths to Flame are both incredible. How can people hate those songs?

I guess it just depends on who you are around I guess. A lot of long time fans I know love their older stuff more, and at any show I've ever been to the crowd goes nuts for Illusion and Artist tracks, as you should.

Thrice have been teetering for the top spot of my absolute favorite band for a few years now, but I would just like to say definitively that they simply are now.

This message is brought to you by Kevin360. Carry on.

Yes, the bridge is awesome, but the song is not. Flags and Weight were vastly superior as far as songs.

I need to get my hands on Beggars and Major/Minor on vinyl.

Have I mentioned that TAITA is awful? I never liked that record despite loving moments on it. Abolition is the only song I revisit. And I'm okay with saying this since the band doesn't like it either. It sounded so hollow.

Remember, guys, bad songs can still have great parts.

And had they not hated TAITA so much, we may not have gotten the inspired effort that was VHEISSU.

I don't know if any of that is true. They hate the production on the album but have stated they love how they sound live and how it gives them the different feel like they wanted on the album.

We got a very different sounding album after Artist because that's what they do. Just saying so doesn't make it fact....

There is not a single bad song on that album honestly. Such great song writing.

TAITA is the first album of theirs that I heard and the album that made me an instant fan. They have progressed so much since then but that album will always be special to me because it was my first exposure to them.

but how many of their number one fans are in this thread?

I'll go ahead and lay claim to something in the 60s maybe, like the number 66th fan

Is that one of the few that hasn't been repressed? I got it on pre order before the album came out but I don't know if its be released since.

I hope they do cool 10 year packages for all the albums going forward now.

I would assume number 1 fan would love nothing but Thrice and even loves Wake Up more than life itself.

That being said, I'm probably in the top 50 I would think. I love pretty much anything from the band and more often then not, fall down rabbit holes of listening/watching videos of Thrice on the regular and ignore my responsibilities to wife and kids haha. If thrice put out a disc of silence I'd probably pick it up.
