I mean those openers all make a ton of sense. They're all pretty much alternative radio staples, opening for an alternative radio staple.

 

Would have rather had K.Flay over Misterwives, but I still like Misterwives. I might actually hit that up - still haven't seen any of the bands on that bill.

 

Walk The Moon is great live. Would prefer them on a headliner because I'm sure casual 30 Seconds to Mars fan will hate the openers.

 

I would have maybe went to Cleveland for that but I'm going to Kendrick in Pittsburgh that day most likely

 

It's funny, 30 Seconds to Mars it the band I want to watch the least on this lineup haha.

 

I skipped Misterwives the past few times they've played Ohio. Joywave I saw open for Foals and Foals blew them out of the water so it was hard to compare. I've never seen 30 Seconds to Mars. I'll go just to see a few of the hits. I'm more excited for Walk The Moon & Misterwives. The singles 30 Seconds have released have been real bad

 

they took an hour to play like 8 songs when I saw them with Muse, and it's all about cheesy production and theatrics...can you tell Im not a fan?

 

I also heard Northlane had to drop the tour, apparently due to visa issues

 

I don't know why I don't pay attention to Pittsburgh's schedule more.

They're just.....so....corny...

 

Shoot, I think in those two cases, even if I enjoy some of the newer Thursday songs more, or Disambiguation more than other Underoath albums... I'm just unbelievably thankful to have Thursday and Underoath back in my life now that I am actually able to go see them every single time they come around. I will take what I can get from some of my favorite artists that I didn't expect to ever see play live again.

With that being said, I also think Underoath wrote 4 really good records with Spencer on vocals, not just Disambiguation. I think Thursday released some great material on FC/WATT. Maybe if I was a super hardcore Thursday fan who goes to every show, I'd be more annoyed with seeing them mainly play songs from just those timeframes, but as a guy who attended his first Thursday show in 2017, it was everything I could have hoped for.

 

Joywave always gets on really interesting tours. I had tickets to the Young The Giant tour last year they were on. I feel like I would consider going to this lineup if it were Walk The Moon / Misterwives / K. Flay / Joywave on every date, and just no 30STM or Welshly Arms.

 

Most people, including Geoff himself would disagree but that's one heck of a hot take.

i think ACBTLD is their best with no devo the second best. i prefer the ambience in those records, as well as geoff learned how to write vocal melodies that didn't involve him cramming a ton of words into one line

 

Yeah obviously people's preferences are going to differ based on what they like. I was surprised he put FC as #1 as well. Definitely a more candid take than a lot of the bands that do this and rank their new one as the best (even if it's clearly not).

 

at the show i went to all my friends were pissed for any song not off the big two records and i was so mad at them, idk. thursday pushed themselves so far sonically and their fans just don't care

 

Seeing rumors of a late Spring TWY tour.

 

i mean that's to be expected, right? after the UK tour. probably announcement either next monday/tuesday or the week after

yes, exactly that. if those two were coming through here, knowing that they were playing FC/WATT or any underoath album with aaron on it, I would be at least 10 times more likely to actually grab a ticket
