but I really liked the idea of more social horror movies, there's a lot of material there without the need for a direct sequel.

 

I don't know how you make a sequel to Get Out. I liked his earlier plan to make more horror/thriller social commentary flicks, let's go back to focusing just on that Jordan.

 

I feel like sequel has become such a loose concept these days, I guess whatever movie you make in the same universe can be considered a sequel?

Anyway, I hope that's the kind of sequel we get, like what Shyamalan's doing.

 

prequel would work well i'd think.

for a sequel... idk. if you're hellbent on getting original cast back, i guess you could do a revenge story now that there are escapees, but that would feel cheap. maybe the family has bailed and our main TSA guy is on the hunt, or it's focusing on the operation being rebuilt elsewhere.

all of these ideas sound bad though. i imagine it'll be an anthology kind of thing loosely set in the same universe if anything.

 

I would also prefer something unrelated, but something tells me if Jordan is "seriously considering" a sequel, he probably has a pretty strong concept for it. I trust him.

 

Really hope I can catch this in the theater again before it's gone. 10:30 pm being the only show time makes it rough.

 

I'd rather have a Keanu sequel

 

I've never met anyone who's seen that haha so I've forgotten basically all of it because I never think about it/talk about it

 

Keanu was so underrated, very funny movie.

 

Keanu had Tiffany Haddish which is very important

 

Loved Keanu

 

Keanu wouldn't have been very good - or even good at all - were it not for how great K&P are together

 

Keanu was pure dumb fun.

 

That said, I think a Get Out sequel might be a little much. I'd much rather a spiritual successor from Peele. I think he can tackle another thriller story with social commentary well.

 

Keanu was not that good, come on now.

Haha, for real though, I found it to be pretty damn disappointing. I only saw it the one time, but I distinctly remember laughing out loud very hard at one spot, and being mildly amused at the rest. And the 3rd act of course became absurd
