He was really flat on One Dance

 

everything i saw from the episode was bad with the exception of the weekend update about trump and the black jeopardy sketch, which was ok

 

I liked Black Jeopardy because how Canadian his answers were.

 

Yeah this grew on me a little bit but since it's just okay the length is a turn off and makes me not want to throw it on. Plus with new radiohead, james blake, and chance 3 all coming out I've been listening to those any time I can.

 

after leaving it alone for a while I've come to appreciate its subtleties coming back to it

it's minimal and cold on the first and last thirds, and I really appreciate it

Feel No Ways is almost Vaporwave, how cool is that

Views has really clicked for me in a big way. It's no Take Care but it can hold its own again NWTS.

This album literally clicked for me today. Listened to it on a train journey and had no other distractions beyond what I saw out the window, and I was just like "...nice. nicccccceeeeee"!

 

I heard "Too Good" on the radio today so I guess that's the next single from the album? It was weird because it sounded really good to hear it as a standalone, 'cause I had only listened to it whenever i'd listened to the album all the way through. Really cool track imo.

 

Pretty sure Controlla is slotted to be the next single

 

ahh - different singles for US & UK maybe? Views' wikipedia page says Too Good was released as a single in the UK on May 15!

 

Good old Controlla, I like that song.

 

Controlla is so damn catchy.

 

I regularly heard like 5 songs from NWTS and IYRT on the radio around the same time, I think some stations just play his music whether it was officially released as a single or not

 

I remember hearing Draft Day on the radio a lot haha

 

I've been hearing so much "Controlla" and "One Dance" on the radio lately, I love it

 

This is easily the biggest disappointment of the year for me so far. Sure, there are tracks I spin regularly (One Dance, Controlla), but overall I just flat out don't like this. Drake is one of my favorite artists, so I'll keep revisiting this throughout the year, and maybe eventually it'll click.

 

Feels like he'll wait until mid-summer for "Too Good". He's got to give "Work" more time on the charts as the hit Drake/RiRi track.

 

When Take Care leaked, my track team was driving home from a workout in the park and the local Philly rap station was playing tracks on the radio. We heard "Over My Dead Body" and "HYFR" in silence and then just started wilin' out after his verse went on and on and on. Def one of my favorite listening moments.

 

Controlla is a bang-average song - the middle & end parts outright suck. Was that Popcaan version ever "official", or did he just remix/jump on it himself? That was way better

 

it was a leak, probably the original version. it is significantly better than the album version and the only one i listen to

 

This is pretty crazy - Views' 3rd week streams a bigger number that any album in history's first week sales!!!

Relistened to all of Views yesterday and I gotta say it's a pretty dull listen aside from a few standouts

Child's Play might be the best song on the album
