I think rousey is a fantastic signing... sure do I wish the division was booked a lot better... obviously. Do I wish Sasha was booked like a star.. yes. Do I wish they treated becky like a star... yes. Do I wish Bayley wasn't a jobber... yes.

But unfortunately the wwe sucks at their job. Rousey is verrrrry interesting to me. I'm very intrigued.

Or do you guys want more riot squad

Mens rumble was solid, though they need to move past using Roman and/or Cena as a heat magnet for the finish. A Nak/Balor showdown would have had true drama and a more invested crowd.

Womens rumble was mostly smart. But half the eliminations were painfully awkward. Looking forward to next year where its less about throwback moments and we get people that can take that bump

like it's legitimately no different than styles coming in and getting hotshotted to the title within 2-3 months.

the actual difference is you know styles can work and you're assuming she can't.

fuck if this doesn't say everything that needs to be said

  6. Agreed about the women’s rumble - needed to have so many legends to be a part of it because 1. The main roster has few bodies for it and 2. They paved the way for this to happen so it was awesome to see Beth and Trish etc in the match

I disagree about the drama. The Roman/Nak ending was perfect because you knew there was no way the WWE could be so out of touch that they would fuck this up *again*, but you also weren't convinced they weren't gonna fuck this up again. Nak vs Balor showdown at the end you've already cleared that hurdle, you're happy with either winning. Nak vs Roman you're on the end of your seat (or more likely, pacing across the room) begging WWE to not fuck things up.

Agree that now they can move past using Roman/Cena as the heat magnet for the finish, but it worked a good deal better tonight than it did during previous rumbles.

The ending was cool though when Asuka and Nikki were both on the edge of the mat

love it. if Ronda's truly full time this is gonna be great. Listen to her interviews about WWE, she actually is a fan and will put time and effort into this. I'm stoked

  12. “This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt. When I first met with Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.”

    Sounds like she’s all in

Fair. I avoided spoilers for the Rumble, so Finn v Nak felt like either could genuinely win...whereas I know Roman has no need to win.

That match overall was well booked; felt a lot like the 2016 Rumble in terms of ups and downs, but, didnt have the obvious ending that HHH at #30 brough.
You're wrong by half. Styles getting hotshotted makes perfect sense because for a decade he proved he was one of the elite performers in professional wrestling, and had literally just come off a major program in the #2 promotion in the world. He was rightfully billed as such when he entered, and him competing for the WWE title on Day 1 made sense.

Not sure thats in any way comparable to someone who hasnt fought in 400+ days and who got embarrassed in her last fight.

Both tag matches were pretty lame, opener was fine/good, triple threat was just okay. But both Rumbles definitely delivered. Really enjoyed both of them a lot. Definitely think the women's Rumble would have benefited from the likes of Kelly Kelly being replaced by Nikki Cross, but since it had no effect on the finish, hard for me to be upset about it. So used to the Rumble being a letdown, really happy that we got two good Rumbles on the same show!

Only real issue is how believable Ronda working some of the other girls will be. Outside of Asuka, Charlotte, and maybe Nia or Sasha, it's gonna be tough for Ronda to work longer matches where she's not ripping limbs off in 20 seconds.

  19. I’m sure they’ll figure it out

I’m honestly really confident that Ronda is gonna look fine in the ring

I'll save the judgment on Ronda's ringwork for when we actually see her ringwork, ya know?
