For a cheap beer an ice cold Coors Banquet is hard to beat.

 

After 5+ years of sporadic brewing, I finally joined a homebrew club tonight.

 

That or high life is my go to.

 

going to a local brewery's (Free Will) Sour Sunday this upcoming Sunday - pretty stoked on it. I know we've all mentioned it before, but I love that sours are becoming more and more prominent and easily accessible.

 

There's a time and a place for a sour. When I want one, I REALLY want one.

 

Anyone in here in Chicago? Winter Brew Fest in Lincoln Square (my hood) is this weekend. Tap list looks awesome:

Nice taplist for a neighborhood beer shindig. I haven't had a lot of these so it'd be a fun event to probably go to. I'm especially interested in trying that Dovetail Doppelbock at some point. It sounds like it could put me flat on my ass....

 

Still sticking to a beer-free Jan so prob will pass on that one.

Having seven Bud Lights on Saturday didn't count

 

Still haven't made my way out for one of the Sour Sunday events yet, but I generally really enjoy the sours that Free Will puts out.

 

this will be my first one. I hope it's not too crazy, I have no idea what to expect.

I had my two ounce sample of it yesterday and that's all I need to have.

 

I had one last night. It was good.

 

Tried a New England IPA tonight at Railhouse Brewery in Pinehurst, NC... surprisingly good. Never heard of such a variation but it was a lighter IPA with hints of fruit and lighter ABV.

 

Roak’s Chestnut Head is my favorite porter I’ve had in a while

 

Bigfoot is a monster of a beer. It’s so close to being too sweet for me but it works.

 

Weird, I had Bigfooot tonight and just kinda find it... Ok I guess. A little hoppy, a little sweet, but nothing really unique

 

I haven't had one in a while but I've never been a big fan of bigfoot.

 

I meant monster more in an ABV kind of way. It’s pretty good but far from my favorite. 2015 was my favorite Bigfoot but I also had it after a day of skiing so that played a bit of a role.
