Battlefield 1 has taken over my life

I had to stop for a while after like two weeks because of reasons and then I never went back and now I feel left behind.

I hope that Bad Company rumor is true. The bigger emphasis on destruction was so good. BC2 is still the best Battlefield multiplayer in my opinion.

 

Started Tales From The Borderlands last night.

I really hope the writing remains this strong throughout

 

I've stopped buying indie games that aren't clearly labeled as exclusives to a certain platform because I'm holding out for possible Switch versions and I think it's becoming a problem

 

Makes sense.

 

I keep doing this as well, I'd much rather play an indie game on my switch.

 

so I went back to playing fortnite on the ps4 pro and it's such a huge downgrade compared to the xbox one x it's not even funny.

the official numbers don't quite do the power disparity justice.

 

My first try of Fortnite was on PS4 and I thought the concept was fun and the game itself was extremely counterintuitive. Is it better to play on XBox One altogether? Or are you just talking graphics when comparing the Pro/X?

 

1) I'm talking only graphics, the gameplay might be a tad better on the PS4 as the Xbox One has some random hitches sometimes when stuff loads in (that's a bug though in all honesty)

2) the controls take some getting used to, but once you get to hang of it it's a blasty-blast, especially the Battle Royale mode.

 

I think I remember reading that the Xbox is also the leading platform (as in development) for the Battle Royal mode so that's probably part of it

 

the only real problem I've noticed that due to the incredible resolution coupled with the draw distance, sloppy LOD becomes really apparent on some objects haha.

also for example Shadow of War is better played in a lower resolution because the high resolution really shows all the cut corners, especially compared to something like AC or Horizon it's just very ... bleugh

 

new WW2 update is pretty cool. Got an extra class spot and the whole new resistance class.

 

This is true. FFXV's art doesn't scale well, as another example. I'd personally rather have that than blurriness though, it's better for my eyes.

 

I think they'll have to find a good middle ground in terms of how they create the art, though FFXV looked bad on PS4 Pro too.

 

Is the new COD's campaign any good? I keep hearing mixed things, but I am interested with the setting.

 

I really dislike it and I love shooters ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

It's short but I enjoyed it overall. I really like the multiplayer on this game though. All of the maps are great.

I played a little multiplayer a few months back, but not my usual cup of tea. With my schedule I tend to stick to solo stuff.

 

it's a combination of diminishing returns from the COD formula as well as very tired set-pieces. does playing d-day for the 5th time excite you? then this is the game for you.

 

Ok well maybe you can rent the game somehow? You're going to be done the campaign in a few days and I don't think you'll want to play it again after that. There's only like 13 missions or something like that.

 

Yeah I actually just started playing it Christmas break. I’m definitely not good compared to people who have had it since the beginning but it still addicting, haha.

 

It's very sharp on One X at least. It was a nightmare on base Xbox One.
