was ava's first show really at the troubadour? why dont I remember that? I was at the second show ever at chain reaction!

 

I don't know why I remember this but I believe their first show was at the glass house in Pomona

Just released a bunch of WDNTW stuff on To The Stars.


The posters are cool, but shipping for anything bigger than a 12x18 is $15. wtf

 

In my advisory group, they call it a triangulation stranglehold where there are three players: us, Russia, and The Others. And no one wants to move out of step to initiate a conflict where two of those three players have been given hardware. And that hardware has allowed us to come to a big line in the sand (nuclear weapons) to where we’ve almost annihilated all of mankind on Earth many times over.

So it’s been quoted that they call this the great stranglehold where us and Russia are always looking down the barrel of a gun, but the gun was given to us by The Others.

And all of this just perhaps to see who is stronger! And that’s the other thing that’s really scary about this thing. The Others — they are trying to fix something with/in their DNA — they are trying to tamper with the machinery of the universe, which is the human soul.

Maybe because They don’t have one, like the Bible says. Those Fallen Angels were jealous of mankind and They hated man. (laughs) I have no idea, but maybe they are trying to create wars to get us to kill each other and whoever is left standing must be a stronger race. (c) Guess who?

Last night I decided to dive into AVAs catalog for the first time in years. It's crazy how far the production has come. WDNTW and I-Empire sound so great, and then after that everything seems to take a nose dive.

 

I would say Dream Walker is when that happened; the vocals sound shitty. All because of Critter dying.

i love - dare i say i L ) V E - the first two AVA albums more than anything blink has ever released, but Tom put the band to shit when he kicked everyone out. i'm not sure i love Ilan's influence.

 

Tim's wedding band is so thick.

i listened to the album like three times but I think I liked Mercenaries the best

 

I think it loses it a little as it goes on but the music in the verse is really cool. It's one of the AVA song that sounds absolutely nothing like blink. It's a bit of a straw man argument (?. Or some other term I don't know!) but if it was made by someone else I think it would get more respect.

 

oof i don't like KWAS at all, The Disease and Tremors are my favorites from TDW

 

KWAS is one of the catchiest choruses Tom has ever written, fight me

 

so WDNTW acoustic pretty much confirmed? i knew he wouldn't tour for it. excited nonetheless
