I'm down. I was half and half on Culture, but the best stuff on it was really, really great.

 

I was also half and half on Culture. Cautiously looking forward to this although Motorsport left me feeling like maybe Migos don’t have anything new to offer but we’ll see

I had a sense that the term was used as slang not directed at the LGBTQIA+ community, but it’s not a good look regardless. The term “queer” seems to be used increasingly in this manner in hip hop lately.

 

Saying something homophobic or transphobic and then pedaling back to say it was misconstrued has become a pattern for Migos (specifically Quavo and Offset). I don’t buy this for a second.

 

Even if he didn’t mean it that way, he knew how it would come across. Definitely not a good look.

 

That gets the biggest eyebrow raise from me, come on dude

 

He/his management team should be smarter. Isn't there anyone around him that can tell him, "you shouldn't say that" - They are one of the biggest music acts around right now. Don't they have a PR guy?

Migos are probably (at least a little) homophobic, but I actually believe him when he says this lyric isn't referring to homosexuals, but rather "haters" or whatever. Still should know better than to use that word, especially after he's already been called out for similar things. Just a really stupid move.

It's very rare that a 24 song album is actually something anyone needs. That, mixed with Offset's homophobic line has me not all that excited for this, but I'm sure there will be a couple gems.
