Hoping to be there, but four bands with doors at 9 is super annoying when I have year-end close and reporting to do.

Probably should've checked that before I bought tickets lol At least it's a Thursday though. I'm sure it'll be done by like midnight.

That's a fantastic haul! That Pears/Direct Hit! split is beyond fun.

Yeah, that's more albums than I expected them to send. That's pretty cool.

Waiting for this lineup to get released is the worst part of every year

Last year the first wave was announced April 1st.

That was an April Fools' lineup, right?

I don't remember? Google says the second wave was on April 18th, so I can't remember how soon after we got the first, real announcement.

Maybe that is right then. I can't remember either haha. I just think of Riot Fest announcements usually in May.

I would say Distillers are a very likely band this year

The Breeders announced they have a new album coming out in March (their first in 10 years). They're playing a show in Chicago in May, but if they don't play Lolla or Pitchfork, I could see them playing this.

Wonder if last year was a change of regular scheduling for the announcement, or if we'll get it in April again this year...

Just feels like last years might have been early because of the QOTSA tour announcement, having no worries about other tours with the other two headliners and such.

Getting it sooner again would be awesome, though! Gives me more time to plan...

I thought FOB was definitely a realistic headliner this year

Fall Out Boy at Wrigley Field is Saturday, September 8. Definitely out for Riot Fest.

That’s awfully late for a concert at wrigley they usually stop in August

What do people think the headliners are going to be this year? I'd put money on LCD Soundsystem.

Hopefully they can finally pull of Green Day

I think The Killers are possible as well

And then the unrealistic hope that MCR comes back

I didn't even think about The Killers, they'd make a lot of sense.

I don't know if I can see LCD Soundsystem headlining honestly. I'm not sure they fit the demographic. The Killers or Green Day would both make a ton of sense, but I just wonder if they're slightly too big for it. They probably could, but they'd be bordering on too big.

There's always a reunion (Jawbreakers, the Replacements, Original Misfits) or rare get (System of A Down, the Cure). Like every year, I will wish for My Chem or Fugazi.

They could bring someone like the National back. The 1975 is a possibility for taking a headliner spot assuming their new album is successful (though I hope this isn't the case). Yeah Yeah Yeahs are possible, but I think they'd be more likely to end up at North Coast or Lolla. If Eminem doesn't end up at Lolla, I suppose he could play (but that'd be the same problem as Green Day and the Killers). It'd be cool if they booked N.E.R.D., but they'd probably be a side stage headliner rather than the main one. I think the Gaslight Anthem will be there, but I'm not convinced they're headliner status. I would've guessed Brand New final Chicago appearance, but I don't think they're continuing with their prior plans
Riot Fest is always the hardest to guess since it's a little outside the main festival season and doesn't.
