I get to do a Meet and Greet with them as part of a radio contest thing. I get to ask one question- what should I ask?

Right now, I’m so tempted to ask if it’s actually Julien Baker on the cover.

Without being a snarky prick, anytime I’ve ever been involved with their Q and A’s, people ask 98% weird/terrible questions.

Ask them when they’ll do a Canadian tour.

 

Ask if on their next tour they'll have Julien Baker hanging from a tree after her opening set?

I’d ask about the song I think they recorded with her as well. What it was for and when it’s cominh out.

Also, if they reinvigorated to do another Manchester album with less time between records, or if they may do another Bad Books record, or music score.

Pick one if you want. Or don’t. I’m always more interested in hearing what a band is up to musically than members favourite foods or something. Andy also has a hand in a lot of different projects, plus he produces and has a label. Kinda nice to know what’s on the plate for fans

 

Yeah, i was totally just messing with you. I’m fairly certain Andy said on a podcast last year that Bad Books III was coming in 2019.

 

Hopefully. With Kevin kinda sounding like he won’t record another album for now, it’d be nice to have him on another record. And I’d like to hear some Andy songs that don’t feel like they are from a concept album.

 

As for any new music, Hull mentioned an upcoming cover that he worked on with Julien Baker, as well as a "70 percent-done" Bad Books (Hull's side project with Kevin Devine) album, but described his greater songwriting process as ongoing.

Someone who runs a vinyl account on IG claimed that they can confirm it actually is Julien on the cover. I know most were convinced that was a joke

 

I just feel like that’s something they would have mentioned a while ago? Between MO and her, how did nobody mention that if it’s real? I’m still very sceptical

 

It certainly looks like her lol! I should ask Nathan at some point...he may know... after our record is done haha

 

This is one of those albums for me that I don't listen to all the time, but every time I do it's god damn magical. Sometimes those are the best albums.

 

Agreed!! I'm seeing them in ten days. Not emotionally ready, tbh!

 

Ahh! So excited for you! They were so great last April. Definitely will be an emotional ride! if you don't cry during the Alien you might in fact be an alien.
