Also never played Pokemon.

First console was a Sega Master System (with Alex Kidd built in)
First handheld was OG Gameboy followed by Sega Game Gear - which was also my last handheld. Fuck I loved Cosmic Spacehead on the Game Gear though.

 

I think the next Pokémon game is a return to Kanto. If there were ever a time to fully indulge in the nostalgia stuff, it’s now. A full reboot of Red and Blue would sell like absolute mad.

Anyways, first console was an orange N64, loved that thing.

First handheld was a GBA, with Pokémon Yellow.

 

Oh yeah right I always had Sega as a kid maybe that was the problem here. My first Nintendo was the GameCube

 

Only Pokémon game I’ve played more than 30 minutes of is Snap and I’m weirdly proud of that lol. Played 30 minutes of Emerald at a friends house once and that’s it.

 

Pikachu is an amazing achievement

 

I’ve simultaneously played too much Pokémon and not enough Pokémon

 

I don't see it. The one after this one might be a remake though.

 

I could see Pokémon potentially doing like an all regions thing

There isn't a thread for it, but played Wolfenstein New Order and New Colossus back to back and what a great campaign. Short but off the walls wild.

 

I think I'd die of happiness if the Switch game is multi-region

 

i'm so burned out on Pokemon. Sun & Moon were a great step in the right direction but you couldn't get me to play Ultra versions. Reviving the Yellow/Crystal/Emerald concept but splitting it into two games when the entire appeal of them was was "completeness" of them really put a bad taste in my mouth. throw that in to the fact the Game Freak couldn't be bothered to optimize mainline titles of arguably the biggest game franchise on earth to not have heavy frame drops throughout turn based battles and you have to wonder how much of a shit they're gonna give anymore.

 

Things change but they talked about why this is impossible a while ago, they say it's impossible to balance and pace. Also, it's probably a waste of money.

 

Playground has been putting together a new team, hiring, among others, lead developers that worked on Horizon and at Rockstar. Pretty sure the Fable thing is true, yeah.

Has anyone played Far Cry 4 DLC w/ the yetis? It's on sale for $6 and I am tempted to grab it to rock out that game again, but don't want to be disappointed...

 

Yeah I’m sure it’s possible now but probably is a waste of money, especially since anyone who likes Pokémon would probably buy multiple gens of games anyway

 

this Hori Onyx PS4 controller probably would have converted me years ago, I can't stand symmetrical sticks.

 

I bought it when it came out, but damn if I can't get into it. Just not finding it enjoyable. I prefer R6 Siege and basically any other multiplayer game.

 

I would love it if the Switch Pokémon game allowed you to go to multiple regions, but this is GameFreak. They would keep the Switch game 240p if they knew no one would flip.

 

I think the pixel art pre-3DS was pretty amazing, especially in Black/White

 

I did like the Pokémon sprites in Black/White but Unova wasn’t very pretty. It seemed to be very blocky.

 

I actually would prefer them going back to pixel art
