I don't think (I hope, at least) that everyone with a PS4 has played TLOU! So much hype for the sequel. The first Nier was incredible, is the story that good for this one? Might need to look into it.

also I enjoyed the gameplay and the way you can upgrade characters by essentially slotting them with computer chips haha

even the HUD is a chip.

Is the replay value still as good as previous?

 

this is a complicated question to answer. like the game doesn't end after the credits. you have to replay it multiple times to actually see the whole story. the first 2 play-throughs are somewhat similar, whereas the third one is just balls to the walls crazy.
and then there's 20 something "endings" to get even after that.

 

was playing mafia 3 and they mentioned MLK and I was like nice great timing even if it was a sad moment.

 

I know the first game had the same concept where there were so many "endings". I might look into it further then whilst I wait on MH:W reviews and let's plays :)

 

I'm about to start watching playthroughs for the original NieR so I don't have to play it since it's so clunky haha (and also because my 360 is in a different room and I'm lazy)

 

Have you played it before?

 

I played a bit of it (not enough to have a full opinion) and enjoyed what I played of it but then got to a fishing quest that blocked my progress and it was too clunky for me to see what I needed to do so I stopped hahaha

 

It's about time they give us a damn God of War and Red Dead release date. If they truly are coming this spring, it's time.

Yeah I don’t see why they wouldn’t hold it back till winter time at all.

Only reason they’d sell it in the spring or summer is to avoid competing with the yearly releases.

 

It's a great game to play. I remember watching all the different endings on YouTube and it opened up my eyes

 

I'm about an hour into a 4.5 hour video of the cutscenes+important game scenes and I like it a LOT so far

Plot-wise it starts stronger than Automata IMO (but Automata's plot is wonderful, NieR's is just that good so far)

 

It's fun finding the small connections between the two as I watch

 

Honestly I just want it to get all the polish it can possibly get. Rockstar has the money.

 

I tooooootally forgot the Nier was part of Drakengard. I LOVED those games!!

to the mafia 3 players:

Baron's Saturday Fun Day is actually an insane level design and the atmosphere was perfect plus the backstory that was going for that mission really help set it off.
