Been playing Super Meat Boy all last night/this morning. It's so punishing.

I love it even if it's hella masochistic. That being said, it's weird to me that this is a classic and nobody really cared when The End Is Nigh came out this year and is, so far, a better game

 

Super Metroid plays great on 3DS

 

Yeah like I said SNES emulation on New 3DS is great

How essential do you find motion controls? I've never played the OG and just got it today, my friend has convinced me I need to use motion to excel but I really don't wanna believe that

 

Turned off motion controls the second I could and I always get like 1000p each match soooo

I recently stopped using motion and I've been playing way better

Splatoon is easily the game that I’ve played the most hours on Switch. I’ve played a little less since Rocket League released, but both are super easy to jump in for a match or two if I have a small window of playtime.

 

Motion Control is the way, especially if you split up the controller and basically pretend it's a Wii.

I get around 1500pts+ each match.

 

I detest motion controls with my entire being, will do without

Linked up with my friend who is lvl 30 and not coming in last so that's cool

 

Splatoon 2 is fun, but the original is one of the games that really utilized that second screen so well. It feels weaker without it.

 

I don't really regret skipping Wii U, but since I never even got to play one, and probably never will, I'm pretty bummed I never got to experience the second screen, just out of curiosity more than anything.

 

Splatoon 2 has been my addiction the last few weeks, but I’ve been on a longboard losing streak since I changed my clothes. Wish I had other people to play with, though.

 

So I just stumbled onto a splatfest what is happening and how is it different

 

Ha, the stages get a different look and you choose a team to represent. You earn snails that you can use to add more slots to your gear.

 

Thank you! I only just discovered you can buy new weapons so adding slots is a little extraneous but I'm here for it lol

 

One thing I don't get is why Mario Tennis is already happening. They just made a bad one for WiiU, whereas the good Mario Golf for 3DS has been released a long time ago. I would have preferred Golf to come out first. I'm a little worried that that it isn't happening at all now.

 

I’m finally getting home internet again in a few days. I am certain I can finally play Splatoon 2 without hiccups now.

 

So I messed up and introduced my 3 year old to Mario. We started with Super Mario World on the SNES Classic then went to Odyssey. We hand him the second controller and he’s content pretending to play.

Odyssey is sooo good. I hadn’t really had a chance to play it until now but I’m loving it.
