I also can’t stand not being able to read the full song title. WHY is the text so fucking big?

Anyone else get this annoying bug? Happens to me all the time since iOS 11. I'll text someone, exit the message, then lock my phone. If they text back within a minute or so, usually like 10-30 seconds as far as I can tell, when I go back to the message convo, their new message appears above my message, as if it were sent before I sent mine. Annoying.

Yes, I've been seeing this frequently the last week or so.

Yeah that's happened to me since downloading the new iOS. Messaging lags too in general too, just not as smooth. I imagine they'll fix it soon.

Been having this issue since November, and I don't need to exit the Message app at all for it to happen. My response instantly jumps over the last message. Super annoying.

Also having an issue where if I exit the app and come back to it, the entire message screen is grayed out for a few seconds before it lets me type.

Also also the text field disappears completely at times.

Love the features of iOS 11 but it's hit me with the bugs this time around for sure.

I feel like this perfectly shows why Siri sucks and isn’t good for anything except setting timers. There is so much wrong with the response. Also when I asked who was winning the football game tonight I was given a list of of NFL scores from yesterday. My good friend Alexa had no issue answering that question.

  10. And yet asking the “college football score” works perfectly ... I can point out dozens of queries Alexa fails on daily too. Don’t think that’s a good “Siri sucks!” example at all.

You didn't even say football in the question. How is it supposed to know that lol.

  15. I also thought the layout for Music got worse. iOS 9 was peak for the music app. I loved how menus conformed to the colors of an artist/album picture.

Why did it assume to tell me the score of the college basketball game from 2017?

Siri also said the college basketball season is over. So I just question how much Siri actually knows.

Do or do not, there is no try.

Although I agree that they both have their downfalls, I find Alexa has far superior understanding. Even setting timers on Siri can be a nightmare for me. (Granted I’ve seen her work better for American accents - she’s not a fan of Scottish! Haha)

I use Alexa too much for me to call it superior. It fails on me all the time. For basic things, for basic understanding or hearing, or for simple tasks. I'll ask for the "Duke basketball score" and it'll read out the football score, from yesterday. The men will be playing right now and it'll give me the weekend's women score. Music recognition, Rotten Tomatoes scores, if I want to turn on the lights and am at the TV, I know speaking into the Siri remote will handle the lights noticeably faster than Alexa. If you know the right incantation for both devices, they remain pretty even in my daily usage, but Siri lets me word things differently so I don't have to memorize the exact command.

Speaking of things that bug me: I don't get why I can't order a Kindle book on the Echo. Seems like a massive oversight that I can't say "send blah blah blah to my Kindle."

(What's interesting to me is how divergent people seem to be on this. Some people find one completely unusable and the other perfect [outside of language barriers, which the Echo is not even set for]. I've found them both to be hit and miss, in different ways.)

I especially love calling my wife using "hey Siri" because I have a grandma emjoi in her name in my contacts, so Siri repeats back to me "Calling Jocelyn old woman with medium light skin tone”

My phone is set to Portuguese, which means Siri is in Portuguese, which means I basically can’t use Siri. Not really Apple’s fault or anything, it just doesn’t understand when I say English words which is necessary any time I want it to do pretty much anything.
