ESPN's streaming is so garbage for me when trying to watch big sporting events. I always have to find an illegal stream to watch it. Meanwhile, big events on fox? Not a single problem.

I love it when teams go for it on fourth.

Hope Bama wins because then there is no way anyone can reasonably claim UCF doesn't deserve the championshp.

One could very reasonably claim that

And one would be wrong for defending a stupid system that invalidates non-p5 schools entirely.

Don’t know what that has to do with Clemson losing, UCF was already the only undefeated FBS school

Clemson didn't lose to the team that UCF beat.

What are you going to think when that team wins the national championship?

THAT ITS ALL A SHAM AND THE TEAM WHOS BEST WIN BEFORE TODAY WAS AGAINST MEMPHIS WOULD OBVIOUSLY HAVE WON THE NATTY CHAMP IF NOT FOR THE BILDERBERG GROUP SHADOW GOVT RUNNING THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF

I would have liked to see UCF get a shot too, but not at the expense of any of the four that made the cut. Then again, the topic is just rehashing the arguments of a month ago, so what’s the point? So long as Alabama wins tonight, nothing has changed because that was the only spot UCF would have had and an Alabama win over the #1 team would validate that they belong.

Didn't win their conference. Someone from their conference already had a spot.

Alabama didn't deserve a spot over UCF going into the bowl season, and they won't deserve a spot even if they win, and the won't deserve a national championship over UCF if they go on to win that.

Roll my eyes at the regular season games matter narrative around college football.

No, it wouldn't. Not saying Alabama belong or not, but this doesn't make the case.

  19. if a team can win the national championship without winning its conference then you have to expand it to 8 teams

That would only open the door for more non-conference champions to win.

  21. Which is fine! But you have to allow all the power 5 conference champs a shot at it too

Ohio State should have been a part of the playoff as should Wisconsin or Penn State or UCF or Auburn

  22. I have no problem with more wild card teams/non con champs winning it as long as the power 5 champs all have a fair shot - it’s what makes the NFL MLB and NCAA basketball tournaments superior

Right now, 75% of CFP teams are conference champions. If you expanded to 8, it would drop to 63%. Then, you’d have 3 SEC teams in the hunt and UCF still out.

If you want to argue about CFP flaws, the number of teams involved isn’t at the top of the list.

Edit - you posted as I was typing. UCF still gets screwed though.

Restructure conference play where there is no conference championship. That way a team can't lose in the regular season and then win the conference championship and muddy it up? Then have all conference champions go to the college football playoffs?

    Spit balling here.

  25. The BCS was better
