I don't have a problem with kids transferring to avoid position battles. They have a limited amount of time to play the sport, so wanting to give yourself the best shot to get on the field is something I'd never fault the kid for. You get 5 years to play 4 and after that your career is likely done, y'know?

Re the second part: That doesn't bother me too much. Coaches constantly promise kids all sorts of things that never come to fruition and the sport is designed to hold the players down. I can see why it would rub people the wrong way, but it doesn't bother me if he runs his mouth about it.

 

All good points. As a compromise, I promise to go easier on Baker in the future as long as he doesn't win this game ;)

Honestly, that's one of the best college football games I've ever watched. Definitely top-5.

Kirby smart keeps calling that grown woman "girl" so if that's my biggest complaint about this game, then yeah, it was awesome.

You're right, it would be a damn good matchup. Any matchup is going to be a damn good matchup. Really it just comes down to SEC fanboys vs. SEC haters.

 

It would be a good game, yes. And yes, I don't care to see two SEC teams playing each other for it. Not sure why that is reduced to fanboys vs haters, though. The strawmans are strong tonight.

 

It was a safe assumption given the SEC vs. everyone narrative has been dominant across CFB for the past decade.

If there's more to it than that for you, I'm sorry for selling you short and count me as relieved

 

Or maybe I just think its bogus that a team who didn't win their conference, let alone their division being represented in a 4 team playoff.

Alabama is a snoozer of a team to watch imo.

I really can't get invested until we get an 8 team playoff.

 

I'd rather play anyone in the world over an Alabama team coming off of a loss.

 

Georgia playing either Bama or Clemson in Atlanta will be lit because of proximity to all three campuses

 

Two awesome games today. Hope Clemson v Alabama can be just as good (their last two say yes but hard to have 3 great games in a row between two teams)
