I walked into a Walmart like 2 days before Christmas and randomly walked out with a snes Classic. It was the last one

 

I got the botw dlc finally and goddamn the trial of the sword is kicking my ass

 

downloaded oxenfree and Mario odyssey to go along with Zelda and Mario kart. must have a no spend January

 

I want to grab Oxenfree because of this thread but I promised myself I wouldn’t buy a new game until I finished Rabbids or XC2

 

if it takes about 4hrs to complete I say go for it. you could probably knock it out in an evening, which is what I intend to do over some wine (yay orphan Christmas).

Probably shouldn't have got Mario until I had finished Zelda but I couldn't help myself, it just looks so fun

 

Well fuck, online mario kart with my buddy from our respective apartments is too much fun. Pretty sure both our ladies are gonna hate the fact we bought Switchs

I’ve caught the BOTW bug real bad, I really wanna finish Life is Strange: Before the Storm but still haven’t because it’s time I could be playing Zelda.

 

Don't sleep on Oxenfree guys, damn

 

Haven't started Oxenfree yet but that $5 deal was too good to pass on. Blossom Tales took me about 10~ hours to complete the story and I still haven't explored the entire map. Just started BOTW and Xenoblade. This is such a good year for gaming.

Also, someone sell me on Golf Story

 

It's in my top 5 of the year, genuinely funny, above average retro golf gameplay, pretty

 

It's an Earthbound-esque RPG but instead of traditional turn-based combat you play golf. It's great at both of those elements and fuses them together seamlessly. It would be a great golf game if that's all it was but there's quite a bit of depth to it, with the courses weaved into the story and world you explore with all sorts of character and environmental twists. It's a hilarious and charming little RPG too, just a delight that keeps surprising. It'll run you over 20 hours and it's definitely a game I'll revisit. Odyssey is the only Switch exclusive I enjoyed more.

 

visiting back home for the week and having way better internet I'm having a damn blast with Splatoon again.

Also Enter the Gungeon is tough as hell but definitely the type of game I'm going to sink all my time in

 

I wonder when the next Nintendo direct will be

 

There was this leak a while ago, pretty sure it said January or February

 

Mid-Jan if I remember correctly

That being said I don't expect any big reveals beyond a Pokemon teaser, assume it will be focused on already announced titles

That being said, Yoshi and Kirby are supposed to be Q1, right?

 

I'd expect maybe one big-ish reveal, they must have a game like that ready to ship before e3

 

All of them are cancelled Platinum games
