It's mostly not known outside of Ireland. Generally we won't be too upset about it but we will tell people the origins behind it and why it's uncomfortable.

nah not at all, I've ordered them on St Patrick's Day before too, it's just one of those things that when you actually stop and think about the name you're like "wow that's actually pretty messed up" haha. and especially now that I have a couple friends from Ireland I try not to order them.
