The End Is Nigh is great for anybody on the fence, totally worth the price

 

Downloaded SteamWorld Dig 2, having a lot of fun with it

 

One of the best surprises of the year, enjoy.

 

Haven’t played it, but I enjoyed Dig 1 and loved Heist (100% and bought DLC).

I was surprised to see Dig 2 as IGN Nintendo’s favorite indie game (3 picks from 4 people, 1 guy picked Kingdom New Lands). Not that I didn’t think it was good, but I didn’t realize it was that good. So I guess it’s a massive step up from the first one?

 

It always felt like they hype it up on almost every episode, I wasn't too surprised. Stardew Valley would be mine but that's not technically fair haha. I never played the first one but I think the major difference is that Dig 2 is not procedurally, everything was hand placed. There's also the upgrade system here that I'm not sure was in the Dig 1.

 

Thinking about it, my favorite indie this year would definitely be Doki Doki Literature Club, but for Switch specifically I think it's still Shovel Knight with the latest expansion. That game just makes me so happy. But I definitely think Stardew Valley is up there as well.

 

I got Yooka Laylee last night... it's ok so far.

Should have bought Rocket League and Overcooked instead lol

 

My favorite indie game this year is Golf Story. I love it so much.

 

Holy shit, I forgot I still need to finish that. Damn you Stardew!

ayyy I am definitely finally getting Golf Story on Friday when I get that money

after being relentlessly bullied by The End is Nigh, I'm super jazzed that Super Meat Boy is coming on Switch. Was supposed to be before the end of the year but I'm doubtful

got Golf Story and Steamworld Dig this morning, playing through GS right now and having a blast. Charming game so far.

 

bought a Switch today as a Christmas present to myself because fuck it why not. tis the season. so excited to spend the holiday season playing Zelda and eating my weight in snacks

 

I want Gang Beasts on the Switch so damn bad, this is hilarious.

 

Picked up Steamworld Dig 2 the other day since it’s on sale and I’m absolutely loving it so far.

beat kirby superstar with the roommate yesterday which was a really fun and quick play, some of the powers are so fun to use. then we played kirbys dream course and i did not expect to like it as much as i did.
