Weird song, but I kind of dig it.

Oh wow! I had no clue they were making music together. That's cool, but dang that was not what I expected. I actually have no clue what I even expect haha

I had the EP that they did a few years ago and I always thought it was pretty unique.

Ha, better than bad and weird!

But yeah, it's quite an interesting project.

I really enjoy Beautiful Eulogy's latest record. Doxology is such a well put together song, and such a beautiful rendition of a classic.

It’s a great album and that song is fantastic.

I was meaning to ask someone this question: on track 2 what do the lyrics “it could mean everything, it could mean nothing, one word makes the difference” mean to you? The rest of the song makes sense but I don’t know how to interpret that hook! It’s particularly catchy and gets stuck in my head. I’ve a few ideas based on the rest of the song but wanted to hear what others think. Thought you might have an explanation!

The whole song reminds me of Job, I think for obvious reasons. The question of whether your faith depends on the worldly goods or on the goodness and faithfullness of God. So the "If..." that the hook refers to seems to me to be his faith in Christ to do all that is good even IF all the worldly things he cherishes is taken. So the hook seems to be him weighing his faithfulness on the word "if". Does that make sense?

The Oh Hellos just put out a new EP titles ‘Noros’. I’d highly recommend this band - their live show is phenomenal.

John Mark McMillan's Mercury & Lightning is without a doubt the best Christian album of 2017.

It's number two on my end of year list. Loud Harp pipped them to number one. But they're both sublime (for different reasons).

It's number three on my year end list, but man all my expectations for it were blown away. It'll be interesting to see where he goes from here.

Loud Harp definitely grew on me, but I'll put Will Reagan's album ahead of it. These three albums were all fantastic though and make for a great year of Christian music.

Nice! MO was number six for me, fantastic album and I've never liked them before this. Total surprise for me.

Gonna have to listen to your standout tracks for your 6,8 and 9 picks, haven't heard of those.

    The rivalry is back on

I wish I could hear “Rooting For You” by London Grammar for the first time again. Her vocal delivery is striking (in general, but especially) in that song.

It is such a gorgeous performance. Haunting tone. What a way to start an album.

Cageless Birds are the band that perform with Jonathan David & Melissa Helser (who are now signed with Bethel Music). If you like instrumental music there is probably something interesting for you here.

The Poor Bishop Hooper album is so different. Some of the song styles aren’t my favourite but the whole project is so interesting and worth listening to as a whole. I find it quite a moving experience and will definitely prioritise it during Holy Week 2018.

London Grammar are a fairly mainstream UK band (not Christian music). As above, please listen to ‘Rooting For You’. Her voice is incredible and it’s a great album.

The Manchester Orchestra album caught me off guard too. I’ve owned every album but there was always something missing. Until now.
