Did the girl ever produce the evidence? That's all I wanna know... Innocent until proven guilty? If any fan of this band thought Jesse wasn't fucked up somehow for writing as dark and deep songs as they did then i'd be surprised. I guess I don't attach the music to the person, rather I attach the music to the demons. Shit, people like that song Charles Manson wrote.. Didn't As Tall As Lions cover it?

Oh she did? Well then, Carry on. Jesse was a fuck. Still made great music with the other guys in the band. I don't think of him highly as a person but as a songwriter I still do.

 

This isn't court and nobody pressed charges.

If I steal your wallet, it doesn't matter whether you report it, that doesn't change the fact that I stole it. If you can't prove it, even with multiple people describing me doing the exact same thing, I still did it.

It is for an individual bias. If someone tells me something without proof, I won't believe it unless it comes from a trusted source (As in I know them and accept their word without question from prior conceived bias..) But if (and like Soundclash pointed out to me, someone DID post evidence for the whole world to see.. that changes my individual bias towards this person I also do not know in real life and cannot take their word. (Jesse.) So yeah, like I said.. Still like the music.. But yeah, he done did some diddly bad shit.

 

being from Long Island like BN and having their music mean so much idk if i can ever turn off the bonds i made personally to their music, cus at a point it became about understanding self not so much them.... that said... its dampened... i was lucky to have found Lil Peep the last 2 years (sadly he is gone now too RIP) so it lessened the blow.... then Glassjaw came back, yay...

I use to say with Michael Jackson I separated music from artist and still loved the music, but that was more my Mom's gen (and youth nostalgia)...
this is totally one on me and my gen... and it's definitely day to day if i can listen to their music without feeling dirty/still feeling the bond created.

 

If someone tells you they've been sexually assaulted and you refuse to believe with some "innocent until proven guilty" nonsense then you're an asshole. You're not in court.

If it's someone online that I have never met before in my life saying it about someone with any amount of fame, it's just natural to question it (not deny it, but QUESTION it.)
If it's something closer to you personally, yeah I would friggin' believe it because I dont think anyone I personally know would lie about something like that and that notion comes from my own opinion of my friends. But because I have no opinion of people I dont know... Questions... That's all man. Im still saying I believe the people who accused him because if theres evidence, then there shouldnt be questions.

No. Believe women about sexual abuse, don't "question it," don't write shit like "innocent until proven guilty," or "they have fame so I'm just asking questions." That's abuse enabling bullshit that you are choosing to put into the world. If you want to trust but verify, you can do all of that without succumbing to any of the above.

 

I apologize to anyone I might have offended. I'm not trying to defend anything Jesse did or may have done. All im trying to say is that I originally, did not know of any evidence that came to light other than the phrase "They might be on my old computer, i'd have to dig it out."

I just want to try to be fair to everyone, my god, people. I dont have any personal stake in any of these peoples lives other than I just like to know the truth about shit. I was asking a question and you all seem to have answered it. There is overwhelming evidence he did these things (right?) So I believe it.
