  1. Honestly most people say the dumbest shit when hating on this movie. Like they had their hot takes pre-written

My wife never liked Luke until this movie. She loved him in this. The negative reaction to this bums me out.

Real talk: ANH Luke is super annoying and whiny.

"but I was going to Tosche Station to pick up power converters!"

lol your friends sound like some of my friends which brought up the curved lazers too, and the fact the Star Destroyers thrusters werent on full power to catch the resistance ship, and that the cloaking device shouldve been on the entire time to see the smaller ships get away.

Even they didnt mind Luke/the crystal foxes/porgs though. Nor did they say the prequels being better.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

Shoutout to my man Captain Canady (sp?) and his brief performance. Dude did a perfectly good job of looking annoyed as the Dreadnought exploded rather than afraid lol

My friend went as far as to say something like: "those ships and that army is huge. Im sure one persons job is to make sure that cloaking device is on/that smaller ships wouldnt go unnoticed."

Not sure it would be character regression if he’s given plenty of opportunities to stop being an asshole, and he chooses to continue destroying the galaxy. At some point enough is enough.

I think she would let him die and not save him if he was trapped or something like that, but I don't think she would physically kill him. If that make's sense. Like she'd be fine with him dying in a "you did this to yourself, you made your own bed" sort of way. But she's not gonna be the physical cause of his death.

They sound like a flat earther. haha.

Even though your point is ultimately right about it just being SciFi...I still don't understand the complaints. Where we the curved lasers?

And the gravity part...everyone is "walking" on every ship ever show in these movies. I feel like a giant ship having a gravitational pull of some kind of is perfectly consistent with the rest of the franchise.

I get where you are coming from, but I think speaking in absolutes is silly without any context. Do you honestly think she wouldn’t kill him if he was about to set off a weapon that was going to destroy a whole planet?

To me, the answer is: Of course she would.

It’s fairly easy to craft a narrative where Rey killing Kylo would be perfectly in line with what we know of her character now.

so under the assumption that a 10-12 trilogy is a foregone conclusion... when do you think we get it? do we get the spinoff trilogy and the "Story" flicks alternating for 6 years and let Rey/Kylo/Fin age up a bit?

I truly feel bad for someone who couldn't enjoy this movie because they don't think laser beems should be able to curve.

also is it fucked up that Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga is my favorite way to revisit these movies

The film is filled to the brim with new and worthy Star Wars critters. It's one of the reasons I love it. Even the Casino stuff, which I will say had some of my least favourite material, had enough of that weird Star Wars imagination to please me.
