Well Today I learned, I've maybe seen the OT twice so yupp

No no no but that’s the thing: a plot hole isn’t always something “unexplained,” it’s something “not shown.”

 

I'm sure loads still exist but I'm glad I've not seen any DISNEY RUIN STAR WARZ BECAUSE REY IS GIRL AND GIRL HAS FORCE type posts on my feed.

 

I'm sure there were some for TFA.

 

a plot hole is an inconsistency in the logic of a film

 

Which can be something either unexplained or not shown

 

I mean, often plot holes exist “off screen”, but it’s because the off screen “missing “ part that could theoretically connect two scenes doesn’t make sense.

The example given above would be a plot hole if Rey never told Chewie to wait for her contact and Hux didn’t say where she went or how she left. Without those points, her suddenly being in the Falcon would be a plot hole.

 

That movie brought out awful people too that’s for sure.
