Funny I was thinking about this song today for no other reason than its mothers day

I think I used Napster, then Kazaa, then lime wire. Last one I used was ares. So much of my music came from those ha

 

Oooo oooo here's mine. Blink's been my favorite band since I discovered them around 2000. It's the only band tattoo I have and I didn't get it til about 12 years later

 

I definitely used all of those but did any of you guys use the blink-rebels IRC chat on mIRC? I used to have tons of old blink videos downloaded from there. I remember waiting hours for this performance of dysentery gary to download

kids these days are so spoiled

 

I started the #absolutepunk channel on mIRC (sweet brag, dork). It started out as just me and 10-12 other guys sharing music, and eventually I ducked out and just started using torrents. Out of curiosity I checked back in on it probably 6-8 months and there was an average of like 3000 people online using the channel at peak hours, lol. I couldn't believe it.

 

No post in 9 hours? This post is FADING FAST. We need to keep it going while we can cuz LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO LAST LONG ya know?

So I'm assuming that smaller setlist they posted is for their festival dates. What's interesting is that it looked like it was only 8 songs. I'm seeing them at two festivals and would be disappointed if they closed the show with only 8 songs. They're the main act. I thought they'd at least play 15 or more.

 

They definitely will. Most festivals they play around 17 songs, it's just a rehearsal set.

1. Josie
-Reminds me of first getting into blink and watching their music videos and wanting to be just like them.
2. Man Overboard
-I was obsessed with the Live CD when it came out, all my friends and I quoted the lines in between songs everyday at school, but then I grew to love MO because it was a fresh track and so damn catchy.
3. Rollercoaster
-I fucking love TOYPAJ, it reminds me of simplier times in my life and this song just brings back a lot of awesome memories when I was younger doing stupid stuff all summer with friends, before we had jobs and serious girlfriends.
4. Dumpweed
- Everytime I hear this track I think of being out on the lake, volume cranked to the fullest and puts a huge smile on my face
5. Feeling This
-Feeling This and S/T album just screams high school for me


I thank god every damn day for allowing me to grow up with Blink in my life...my golden years with friends will forever be remembered with Blink.

i still love "what's my age again?" every Blink mix CD i make, that song is definitely on there.

 

Is poser still a word? Am I a poser for liking Blink songs when I was a younger kid? When 1999 was the year, I was 30. And when Enema came out.... sign me up.

Sure Dude Ranch put them out there a bit, but when the next one hit - whoa.

Therefore, to me - That's the album. Thats the year. Those are <my> songs.

 

This song rarely gets mentioned in here, but what are everyone's thoughts about this cover?

 

Poser was thrown a lot from 1999-2002 in regard to blink fandom. So dumb lol.

It's amazing. It took some time to grow on me but I really enjoy it.
