Hischier was great in that CBJ game last night. Don't know how legit this NJ team is, but him + Hall are a nice anchor.

 

2 goals, 6 points in 18 games. Missed some time with a concussion, though.

 

I'm not sure we're legit either, but it sure is fun.

If we had another top 4 LHD, I would feel a lot better about our chances. Obviously that isnt easy to find though

 

Just read Nico's Players Tribune article today. (Guess I missed it back in October.) It was a pleasant read - kid's got heart, and he's doing well, even if he is kind of under the radar as someone said.

 

Getting Vatanen this early in the year is a nice add, though. Not sure if I'm a fan of how they're using him with Greene in a shutdown role, but he's super talented.

 

I totally forgot about Mueller lol he was playing well before his injury, too

him and Palmieri should both be back in a couple weeks. I wonder what we do on D when that happens. Maybe someone will trade a ham sandwich for Ben Lovejoy

Nothing says Wednesday night rivalry like Blackhawks vs Capitals

 

Things I’ll never get tired of: Blackhawks getting spanked.

 

Yeesh. That entire team hasn't had a good year, especially when compared to the Devils. (obvious post)

 

The Leafs had three shots on net in the third period (25 or so total) until ~3 minutes left. The Flames have 40+ shots on net. We have no business winning this game.

 

Knowing how the Flames have been, enjoy those two points!

 

So frustrating. If we win it'll be because of Freddie (again.)

 

They did everything right but got beaten by a hot goalie. Ain't that the way.

 

Nylander and Marner are just never going to score again this season. Marner is on pace for like, five goals this season

 

Haven't seen Matthews get completely shut down like that in a very, very long time. Brown and Hyman being utterly useless tonight didn't help, but still, fuck me.

How long until our defense stops being an absolute shitwave?

 

Devils are surprising, I haven't seen enough of Hischier to say anything about him. Matthews impresses me more and more everytime I see him except as of late.

 

Yeah if I'm Lou, I drag both these clowns into my office come April (season will be over) and I offer them each 7 years by 3 million and if they say a single word I remind them that I need cap room to sign JVR and Matthews to carry the weight that they clearly demonstrated they can't. As for me, if Marner doesn't score by new years day I might toss my jersey into the river or maybe when cooler thoughts prevail I'll just have it renamed to Kadri. Currently, Marner is on pace to have fewer goals than Derek Dorsett.

I feel kind of bad for Mitchy and Willy personally. I see them trying, just nothing is going in. But I have faith. They'll get it together.
