Preds need to be better in the 3rd period. It might be literally the only weak point they have.

 

I was gonna say, I turned this game on in the third after Forsbergs goal, and was surprised at how one sided it seemed

 

Stars are catching them tonight on the other half of their back to back, at home, and they're doing really well lately... the Preds are tough but I'm hoping to get one more win out of these yellow laces.

By the way, why are they wearing yellow laces? I saw them last night and was like

 

Well, it started the other night - hang on, lookin it up - okay it was Nov. 24 ahead of the Flames game, when they retired Jere Lehtinen's number. The Stars took warm-ups in vintage Lehtinen jerseys, complete with yellow laces. They won that game 6-4. Then they embarked on their annual "dads trip," yellow laces in tow (mostly as a joke). They won both of those games. (And listen, the Stars have been having a lot of trouble on the road this year, especially against their own division, so it was a big deal to beat the Hawks in Chicago.) They haven't lost a game since. So now it's a thing - I saw on Twitter where they're wearing them at practice now too, haha.

So far, the laces have brought Radek Faksa his first career hat trick, brought McKenzie back from the AHL for a fantastic assist, and have led to five straight wins - three of which have been on the road, all against the Western, three against the Central.

It's still kind of a joke, but kind of serious. :)
