FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

After the first two batters and besides one pitch to Ortiz this is the sharpest he's looked I think. Very good sign.

6 straight quality starts for the starters as of now. Whether or not we ever hit enough that's a whole other issue lol.

Another Nats stat.....Ryan Zimmerman set a record with 14 stranded on base today.

Lol this reminds me of Breslow when he couldn't pitch without them babbling about his molecular biology degree or whatever it was

I had to look it up but it was molecular biophysics and biochemistry. Essentially he threw the ball with his mind.

Swept by the Rays and Simmons sprained his wrist. Nice weekend

Jose Quintana says he has a "finger cramp." I pray this doesn't become a big issue.

So, I finally caved and purchased MLB The Show 16. If someone would have told me they added WAR, FIP, and better SABR stats, I would have caved the second it dropped. I love this addition so much. Now I can feel less like a nerd and not calculate them on my own via Excel.

I've been loving it. I wish I knew exactly how they calculated WAR. I have two different RTTS players that are studs -- a SS and a CF. I've put up 14 and 15 WAR with them, which is just mind-boggling to see, but also really cool.

I had my CF switch from RF and his WAR nearly doubled just from switching to a harder defensive position.

When I brought my SS over from '15 my calculated WAR was pretty close to the WAR '16 provided. I got my WAR formula from FanGraphs. Mine was pretty spot on with hitting and defensive positioning, but it couldn't capture the actual fielding and in-depth base running. Looking at the the other '16 stats, it seems like they are reliant on BsR and FR. Not sure how in-depth their BsR this year is, but last year it was solely based on SBs and CSs, which is just a small portion. FR is pretty useless, imo, but I am not sure if its factored in their WAR or not. I am not sure about bWAR, but fWAR doesn't include it.

To your statement on the OF adjustments, there would be a dramatic increase to WAR if all things were equal (RF, UZR, overall fielding skill) if you swapped OF positions. The adjustment for CF is +2.5, whereas the corner OFs have an adjustment of -7.5.

    The revolution was a lie.

Man I saw that this morning that blows. He is the truth. I hope the Angels can turn the season around they are kinda my AL team and would probably be my favorite team if I didn't enjoy torturing myself as a Rockies fan lol.

I'm not on during weekends, so I know I'm behind. But I was able to see Bumgarner throw in person this weekend, and man, that was great.

He's been in a slump lately, but his defense has never not been outstanding. I hope he's back soon.

Simmons needs surgery. If the season wasn't over yet it is now.

Realmuto just got a HR taken away for passing Ozuna on the basepath. Apparently ruled a single, an RBI, and an out. Cool.

Nats just signed Strasburg for $175 million extension. For some reason, I feel like they highly overpaid.

Kind of shocked he a) didn't test free agency and b) is staying here.

But with what pitchers go for these days, that feels about right. Tonight's start aside, he's been *really* good since he came back from last year's mid/late season injury.

Considering there was trade talk not long ago about him, I thought it was high. I'm not up on their finances but this deal may come into the place during the Harper FA race (assuming he goes to free agency)
