Just curious, why not Tucker?

 

Eh. I’m not sold. I still think we need a proven winner at HC. Fulmer spent all that time talking about experience and stability for our HC. I strongly agree that’s what we need. Tucker has been coaching 20 years and hasn’t spent more than 2-3 years at the same job. Had some successful stints in the NFL and plenty of unsuccessful ones too. Granted, all coaches have down years. And I know we can’t afford to be too picky at this point though.

Happy for Heupel, UCF got a good one. Unfortunately this means Lock is likely leaving for the draft and all the progress Mizzou made the second half of this season is down the toilet.

 

If 'proven winner' is the rationale, then a school like USC would have missed out on Pete Carroll. Not saying Tucker is the next Carroll, but just that coaches can be graded in different ways.

Yeah I agree with that. We've also tried that the last few seasons and you see where it has gotten us. And once we bring some stability to our program, then I'm completely fine with going that route again down the line. But for RIGHT NOW, I don't think that's what we need.

I really think FSU made him or he's truly shit. It was even worse than how jimbo did it IMO
I hate canzano a lot but he was actually right, if you know someone is definitely leaving you have to push the process and get ready for a new coach the second they sign.
