Ive seen more innovative spots in Ultima Lucha Tres than I did in WWE PPVs the entire year. And its actually been a reasonably innovative/violent year in WWE

The actual best PPV was War Games. If you're trying to discount NXT, the best PPV was the Rumble then a big gap then maybe ER or Chamber. WM is definitely in the bottom half, if not worst 3 (hard for it to beat out Battleground & Survivor Series though; those two are new standards of awful)

 

wouldn't call mania bottom 3, or even bottom half. until pitbull went on it was a solid show. it was middle of the road for this year, mostly because the last few matches were so bad, except for goldberg/brock which was all of 4 minutes.

war games was the best show of the year and nothing even comes close.

 

idk I can immediately think of 5 PPVs off the top of my head that were DEFINITELY better than Mania (RR, ER, Chamber, HiaC, No Mercy)

then you have stuff that was probably still just better but legitimately flawed (Summerslam, MitB, TLC)

then you get into the dregs (GBoF, Payback, Fastlane, Mania, Backlash & the 2 shitters I already mentioned)

 

I found a subreddit called r/lowbatterynoises last night and its one of the funniest things i’ve ever seen.

I aso browsed the gen politics thread all day and night yesterday and it was one of the most depressing things i’ve ever seen
