Right but most of them being single branded. Summerslam is supposed to be 2nd biggest show of the year. Let down for me.

You're trying to argue mania was the best PPV of 2017. If Summerslam gets knocked because its supposed to be the 2nd biggest show of the year, WM deserves to be knocked even more.

    Mania was bad

Mania was fun, mostly because it was the first PPV a friend of mine sat and watched with us, so her reactions were great

I think we can all agree that every single Takeover was better than 99% of the main roster product this year. That 1% is any match that includes AJ. lol

Agree to disagree. Mania was most enjoyable show of the year for me. Especially compared to that 32 travesty.

Unfair to include Takeovers, they're always better.

Looking back at the cards for a refresher, I think Extreme Rules may have been my favorite.

Yeah, but what PPV had the best official theme song?

Either the one with Babymetal or MiTB 2016.

Unfortunately, it had that kendo stick on a pole match, but that aside, its probably the strongest card WWE's had. Summerslam was second, but, it had so many bad matches to start off (Cena/Corbin, Show/Cass, Rusev/Orton, Naomi/Natalya) that Im not sure it ever recovered.

Put Natty/Naomi on the pre-show, cut Orton/Rusev and Cass/Show, and move the New Day/Usos match to the main card and its no question its the best PPV of the year. Doubly so if Nak had won

    edit: Corbin/Cena as a cool-off match would have worked...as a show-opener...yikes

Guys I think it’s pretty safe to say the best match of 2017 was the house of horrors match..

Was there a single ppv this year that was better than any Takeover?

PPV's sucked this year in general, I'm trying really hard to find one I could say was best (Mania definitely isn't even fucking close) and I can't find anything. Everything is top heavy. You have to suffer through all these poorly or barely booked mid-card matches with the only build up MAYBE being 50/50 booking with the two having wrestled already on TV multiple times probably. Over saturation killed this year. NXT does so damn well with their PPVs because it is once every 3 or 4 months and only has the absolute top talent wrestling in feuds that have been built for months! Two and a half to three hours of straight quality pro wrestling. How the fuck can WWE compete with that? It's impossible.

Can't wait for this post to become exactly what happens by, like, June.
