my buddy went last night and said it was awesome. cant wait for my show

 

I asked if there was an opener last night and he said there was not. He said they play on the screen a short film she made that's about 15 minutes, and then was some dead time and she came out.

 

Yea I just got back from the show tonight. She was excellent. Setlist was great. All the visuals were great. She’s a great live singer as well. I’ll say I didn’t personally care for the short that played prior to her but that’s subjective. Overall, fantastic night.

I fuckin love this record. St. Vincent is a freaking genius.

Shame. It's my fave St. Vincent album

 

Been working on my AOTY list, think this will end up in the top 5.

 

The best way to describe it is... dark. Melodrama plays with the guy that hopes that his ex-fiancée is leading a fucking amazing life and that everything is going to be okay, that she is realizing that I'm a worthless piece of shit and that she's better off without me. Masseducation is about me giving in to my most nastiest self, and it's cathartic. Listened two records back to back three or four times last night.

 

Yeah this is top five for me for sure.

 

I wish I liked this more :(

Los Ageless and New York are incredible but nothing else ever really clicked with me.

 

I really like the album, but I have settled on the fact that I don't like it as much as Strange Mercy or S/T.

if i liked the album more i'd feel worse about trying to get out of going to this show tonight, i just really don't want to lose a whole night to being in dc and not even go with anyone
