    This is a dumb debate that my former roomate and I have had for years... I haven't talked to him since the BN news came out. I'm waiting until Material Control is released to give him 2 more reasons why GJ is the better band (better album in 2017 and less, hopefully no, children manipulated).

    Seriously though, in every conceivable way (outside of lyrics... I'll give BN that much) glassjaw is way fucking better.

    BN might be a little more consistent lyrically, but I think Daryl's best is better than Jesse's best.

    I was leaving a Movielife show and someone was handing out The Terribly Contagious sampler. Fell in love.

    I love Glassjaw. I love Daryl. I love Envy on the Coast. I love Ryan. But no. It's TBS. And it's because of how far they've come and matured, it's not about Lacey being an asshole. Science Fiction seemed like a good follow up of what was once a record I loved which was TDGARIM after being let down by Daisy, but Brand New would always come in third or fourth to me even before being cancelled from my brain. As far as I'm concerned, my favorite Long Island / NY scene bands:

    1. Taking Back Sunday
    2. Glassjaw
    3. Straylight Run
    4. Envy on the Coast
    5. The Movielife

    Honorable mention: Crime in Stereo
