I got a little freaked when I saw the character list in the beginning bc I loathe books that have that much going on. I’m having no problem keeping up with them w/o looking at the list and it’s a big book so I think it’ll be ok.

I’m like 300 pages in and am having trouble being motivated to keep going. It just hasn’t grabbed me like most of Kings books usually do.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

There is a boatload of characters, there's a list in the front of the book of there names and who they are though.

Over half the list falls asleep and grow cocoons anyway.

I felt this way about The Stand at times, but the more I read it, the more it all came together.

I'm definitely nervous to go into The Stand haha. Gotta finish Salem's Lot and then The Shining is next.

Yeah and that was super overwhelming

Half of them are asleep for like 500/700 pages though, if that helps.

Going in order, as well? That's what I've decided to do haha. The Stand unfortunately doesn't have a list of characters at the front of the book (or at least my copy didn't). Might be worth it to jot down some notes as you go to keep up with everyone haha.

I should have waited until we were a bit closer to It: Chapter Two to read the book. I cannot stand being this excited for this long

So Strange Weather was awesome. Joe continues publishing work that's nothing less than perfect. Loaded was the highlight, honestly I could make a case for it being my favorite novella I've ever read.

If you haven't read anything from Joe and don't feel like jumping into a novel this is the way to go.

    I thought you'd already finished!

Currently reading it actually, have about 30 pages left of Aloft and then all of Nails.

I liked Loaded but I wasn't big on the ending at all, it felt way rushed to me.

This had definitely made me want to check out all of his actual novels though for sure.

I finished it 2 or 3 days ago, just hadn't posted anything about it. Oh man, the ending is what made it, I thought it was fucking perfect and rivals the Mist's film ending in turns of terrifyingly bleak. Felt like I was shot in the chest when I put it down. It was definitely paced a certain way, I think that worked.

Randomly picked up Revival for like $6 brand new hardcover at B&N months ago and just started it! I'm like 200 pages in and I really, really am into it. Nothing major particularly happens in the first "part" until towards the end of it, but I sorta just liked connecting with those feelings/thoughts of being a 5 year old kid and the way they view the world and people around them. Just to then get devastated.

I powered through It, the 7 Dark Tower books, The Shining, Mr. Mercedes, Gerald's Game, Doctor Sleep, and Misery this summer so I may take a breather from Stephen King and read the Hannibal Lector book series after!

It's very good. If you like Joe's stories (or King's) you'll love it.

Haven't read any of his other novels, only read Thumbprint but the 3/4 I've read have all been crazy.
