Coincidentally Beggars is the one other LP missing from my Thrice collection as well. I've gotten into Ebay auctions for it before, but never been willing to go high enough. I know they've repressed it before, but hoping/assuming they do again one day.

 

I want it. I just don’t think I want it enough to drop the cash on it. We’ll see what happens when i see the price.

 

It's officially live! Dropped a bit early. Just grabbed my copy. $65 for just the record - $95 for the bundle.

 

Yup! Already live. A lot of people are going to be piiiiiiiiissssed!

I set an alarm for 10am PST thinking it would go live then. Very happy I checked ahead of time. Good luck all that wanted it!

 

Just got mine! So glad I checked Insta and Chorus early. I really don’t need any more t shirts so I just went for the records.

Alchemy was a really profound record for me in not only solidifying my love of Thrice, but also opening up to a bunch new sounds, including music with screaming, electronic influences, softer acoustic stuff etc. Most of the songs I originally heard when I bought Live at HOB on a whim on vacation for only like $10. Still remember the first time watching Lion and the Wolf into Firebreather. Still give me chills.

 

So relieved I checked and this launched early. Thought I was going to get the bundle but opted for just the box set.

Super pumped! I wonder if this will even sell out before 10 am PST now.

 

Just got my copy! I figured this would drop early. Tons of people are gonna be pissed, though.

 

Snagged a copy! Been wanting this since it was originally pressed. Vinyl-only bundle sold out in ten minutes.

I awkwardly was refreshing yesterday thinking it was a Thursday release instead of today. Definitely didn't consider to check out the site last night. Very disappointing - even though I had low expectations of being able to snag one anyway.

Thanks for the false hope man! It's all good I got excited too but as soon as you choose a size it says sold out.

 

Whoever runs that store has fucked this up big time.

People were going to be mad if they couldn't get one anyway, but ruining their chances before the advertised launch time is just crazy.

They should press another 2000 for the ones who never stood a chance.

 

Yeah that's the part that really sucks about it is not even getting the chance. I'd be way less bummed if I would at least been able to try. I knew this would basically sell out instantly but I had not anticipated that it would go live way earlier than expected.

Yeah I'm one of the people who are pissed that it went on sale early. I already didn't think I had a good chance of getting one but I planned my morning around the launch time.

 

As someone who was going to stay up until 3 in the morning (currently in japan) to attempt to get a copy... Im not as mad as I thought I would be that all this happened. Im more mad at the fact I cant fall asleep now since I basically had my body prepare to stay up to snap a copy

 

That's a lame way to address it tbh. Everyone and their grandmas knows it went up early at this point.

 

One of my favorite records in my collection. Really wish my buddy could have gotten a copy this round though. Maybe in 2027...?

 

I don't know much about vinyl, but if this is in such high demand that the original pressing is selling for $300, and the new pressing sold out in minutes, why do they limit the pressings to 2000 copies? Why not press enough to meet demand?
