My user name on Instagram is rossismyname. I thought I was hella clever when I made it years ago.

 

This may be a long shot but is there any way to retrieve photos that you have uploaded to Instagram into your “photos” on iPhone? I had photos that I had taken at Deftones in Glasgow but the phone I had them on was stolen and don’t think they were backed up but I have the photos uploaded on my Instagram account. Is it possible to save them to “photos” on my iPhone or am I being to optimistic? Haha

 

You can go to the instagram website and go to your account, right click and select "View Page Source" (I think it's the same in Chrome and Firefox), on your keyboard hit Ctrl-F(search), and then search for .jpg; the result that comes up, select the whole http address, through .jpg, and then post that in your address bar and enter; the picture you uploaded will now be there for you to save to your computer

No problem! I've done that a bunch for various landscape accounts I follow, for photos I really like; pretty nifty trick

I think people were overreacting I wouldn’t mind that being an option to view the feed

 

I use Instagram only because Facebook has an awful interface. It would be great if smb creats Facebook analog, but with better interface.

Nah mine's been working normally; is it just IG for you that's crashing? Or other apps as well? Might want to try deleting the app and then reinstalling it

 

got a sponsored post from Charlie Kirk “taking down” a high school student of color in my feed this morning. that was lovely to wake up to.

 

In the past, whenever I'd post a story, I'd only see the numbers of people that follow me who've viewed it; now, I'll get like 150 to 300-something views of the story, 90% of those from accounts that don't follow me. And these stories 99% of the time I haven't included any tagged accounts or hashtags, so how on earth are these people viewing my stories? And I'm noticing quite a few repeat accounts as well viewing the stories, so even though they don't follow me, they're somehow still seeing my posted stories. So weird

 

I have a lot of people who don’t follow me watching my stories. It used to be bots but now it’s actual accounts. Lots of tattoo artists for some reason.

 

I just don't get/really curious about how they find our stories to view; is there a section on Instagram I'm not aware of where you can watch random stranger's Insta stories

I'm so sick of clicking through stories and accidentally clicking on people's polls and not being able to undo the vote.
