I showed this to my dad the other day, and he loved it. Made him even more fascinated when I told him Peele directed.

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but who do people think left the closet open for him to find those pictures? It had to have been intentional, right?

I think it was her by accident, just to move the story along and have a twist for the audience. I also don't know if it has been discussed earlier and it's deeper than that.

Was it left open? I thought I remember hearing the sound of it opening when he's close to it.

He's in the room alone though I thought, so who opened it? I just wrote it off as a mistake on her part or being careless because it was no longer important to hide.

The alternate ending was the ending I expected honestly. It would've had more umpf in my opinion to have him arrested in the end.

Nothing wrong with happy ending but...i think they should've went with the more boom ending

It was definitely the ending I was expecting as well, but I'm glad they didn't go that route. Mainly because I need a happy ending to not be upset about it for days, I get wayy too emotionally invested with fictional characters, heh. I agree it would have given it more 'umpf', the happy ending just seemed a bit too good to be true.

  10. If this were any other film, I'd have wanted them to go with the alternate ending. But I am really truly happy they went with the ending they did. It's perfect.

    Drew

Production company behind this just picked up an R-rated Spawn reboot horror film.

I wonder if it's the version McFarland wanted to direct himself with Jamie Foxx as Simions.

That tweet was why I finally decided to rent the movie on iTunes last night and I'm so glad I did.

Remember when The Martian was nominee for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy.....yeah the Golden Globes are a joke.

because Golden Globes only has Drama and Comedy/Musical as categories so they get a lot of leeway with what's a comedy, this certainly isn't a drama and has comedic elements

It's got a better shot at comedy, have no idea how it will do with awards, horror isn't ever really a big winner, but the critical acclaim has been massive.
