If anyone already has travel down to London and was after a gig to go to then on Saturday Queens Of The Stone Age are playing Wembley Arena, Counterparts are playing Tufnell Park Dome and Daniel Romano (ex-Attack In Black) is playing the Borderline.

Don't know whether there's tickets left for any of these but don't let this shitty news ruin your fun.

Yea there's not nearly the awareness of this. Plus, I mean people will not stop watching old Kevin Spacey movies, even knowing this now. To think that the majority of people are going to toss out their old dvds because of this is just not true. So it'll be the same with BN's music.

Surprised at the end of this email! Being rescheduled? That will be why they’ve said to keep a hold of tickets.

That's standard text. Do not expect it to be rescheduled.

Weird it didn’t say that on the London one through Ticketmaster. Very much doubt they’d just rearrange one date!

This guy I know has the cover of Deja tattooed on his chest. Its huge, at least 8 inches by 8 inches. Crazy.

I also just made a long post of Facebook about my feeling over this, and within 15 minutes I had a dozen friends message or text me asking me what I was talking about......some people just don't lurk the internet and can probably go on never knowing about this. So yeah I wouldn't be surprised if people continue to show up at their shows.

I don't see this impacting their shows much, even from people who do know.

I'm willing to bet we all know someone with a Brand New tattoo that they regret now.

I think they are going to still have shows. I mean, Kevin dropped off, so I imagine that messes with the set?

    I think they're done. That's the end.

Could go either way and I think us speculating is pretty pointless. Better to wait and see at this point.

I wonder if they will cancel the delayed limited vinyl.

I honestly can't see them playing any more shows. This won't just blow over. I was supposed to go to the now cancelled show on Saturday, and if I had gone (I was 90% not going to), I can't imagine the atmosphere would've been normal. Can imagine people heckling him.

That's a huge financial loss on top of canceling an overseas tour, not sure if they can survive that. The rest of the band has a wide audience and a lot of influence. I hope they band together in some way as Brand New or not, and publicly condemn the toxicity in their fandom. I would have no objections to them performing without Jesse benefitting survivor orgs, and it would surely sell out, but that's outside my jurisdiction obviously.

Yeah. I wasn’t expecting them to reschedule. Just weird how all the London dates were being refunded but then I get that reply.

I thought this, I feel like there would have been trouble at the London show.

I doubt it will be cancelled. But if they don’t allow people to cancel their orders now in light of this, that would be really fucked. I already emailed to cancel. Haven’t heard back.

I’m not sure. It’s easy when it’s something like With Con and it’s not the lead singer. You can distance yourself from that band member. With Jesse being the face and voice of BN, they’re forever tainted. I was just thinking about the potential heckler thing this morning.

Their music will always be good to me, that won’t change. But can I enjoy listening without thinking about this? Not sure I ever could. I hated when people were speculating about the lyrics, but especially after the more recent allegations of long-term emotional abuse of such young girls.. it’s hard not to look at the lyrics and see him confessing to a lot of this. So much guilt in his words, and it’s clear a lot of that is connected to these experiences. Which is why I don’t see myself being able to listen in the same way, if at all. As much as I’d love to be able to see them if they were to play a last show, I can’t imagine standing in the crowd and applauding that.

God, this sucks. Sorry to repeat a lot of what other people have already said. Just finally letting a lot of this sink in. Really hope my real real favorite bands aren’t next.

On the bright side, hopefully all of this means the next generation of powerful male figures will actually be stand-up dudes.

I've been thinking about this recently as a tangential thought. Fall Out Boy are one of my all time favorites, on my Mt. Rushmore of music. I am almost expecting something like this to be revealed about them at this point and it's scary. To be clear, the victims are most important, but it's just wild/scary to think about because you don't want anymore of the music you love to be tainted. At some point it feels like there will be nothing left to listen to because everything we grew up on in this scene will be tainted.

Yeah, exactly. I definitely didn’t mean that in a selfish way. But more as in like “I hope I haven’t spent all this time enabling a platform for an abuser.”

BN is the first one that really hits home for me in that sense. Especially as a musician and producer, this is going to be really hard if it keeps turning out to be influential people to my art.
