The victim in question here was 15 years old. She was a child. As in, Jesse was soliciting child pornography, from a child. This was pedophilia.

This really been a shit week... brother in trouble, girl & i apart cus of fam, hours at work getting cut, and now my hometown hero band and one of my favs in all this.

I'll always support those speaking out, even if its at those I am predisposed to have love for, very conflicted but very sure whatever happened clearly was wrong. I won't defend ever, I know what it is to stay silent through pain, I'd never enable someone feeling the need to continue too. But wow, this one is hard.

there is no direct mention or clarification of the issue concerning a minor, which is odd, because thats what started it all.

Yep. And all the other stories that are causing this to be SUCH a major story are about girls as well. He also talked a lot about opening up to people about his mistakes and trying to make himself better but he has obviously not gotten in touch with any of these people to apologize or ask what he can do to help them as a part of that process. He owes them a lot more than he owes facebook and even if the statement was better than some we've seen it's still just the same story of not actually doing anything real until you get caught.

 

Also how weird is it that that one person earlier kept going on about sex addiction being a serious thing despite no comments pointing to that at all and now that's his exact story?

 

I was thinking about him reaching out to the victims personally and I honestly don't even know if that's appropriate. Sounded like that one woman would prefer to not have to hear his name again, let alone have to communicate with him. idk though.
