Well saw about half of Thor. Kind of shaken up right now.

There was four loud pounding sounds. Sounded like gunshots. Everyone in our theater reacted as expected.

It ended up being someone just pounding on the exit door from the outside but fuck, it was horrifying. I was doing all I can to make sure my little brother was safe and out of any potential harm. I’m so glad that it obviously didn’t end up being what we feared. Police responded very quick, there were 12 cop cars in record time.

Scary night. I need a drink.

I didn’t try to. My brother was really terrified and was a mess, I’m just getting him home now and trying to reassure him about everything. I’m just glad it wasn’t real and he’s safe. Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

 

On a somewhat related note, it doesn’t matter if I’m going to a restaurant or if I’m at school or whatever, but I am now very strategic about where I sit. I try to make sure that all exits are visible and that I have some sort of an exit plan. Additionally, I try to sit so that my back is towards the wall so nothing can sneak up behind me. I don’t like being paranoid but I feel like that’s what it’s come to.

I feel so bad for him. He was so excited for this and to see justice league next weekend too, but now he doesn’t want to go. I completely understand, I’m just sad that it was such an awful experience for him.

 

Last time I ate at the mall food court, there was a loud POP! and it didn't take longer than 5 seconds for everyone to realize it was some sort of plastic bag popping...but those couple of seconds are pure terror. Only in America :/

I just went and looked at his twitter, good stuff. It all just makes me sad. I hope BN/Jesse have something to say. Sincerely doubt there's any to say that matters tho. I haven't listened to them a lot in the last couple of years, and haven't even spend that much time with Science Fiction but I will always love that music even if it's something I never listen to again. I feel like a little bit of the blame lies with myself tho, there's no real reason to idolize any of those guys, they're just people making music. They're not perfect, we all have shit we are not proud of. I'm not writing off the accusations to be clear, it's all just such a bummer.
