Day 2 and I’ve fallen head over heels in love with this phone. I initially thought the OLED screen was blurry but I think it’s actually so clear that it shows up all the imperfections in any image that’s not HD. Now my iPad Pro screen is hurting my eyes haha.

 

My wife claims ours does that lately. I haven’t seen it though.

 

Ugh i'm an idiot, I was trying to add my Work calendar to my phone and I wasn't paying close enough attention, I accidentally hit the Contacts button when adding the new account, so I unchecked that and it asked if I wanted to delete my Contacts (which I just assumed meant from the new account I was adding) so I hit Yes.

I apparently deleted all my contacts from my phone altogether. I also for some dumb reason don't have contacts backed up to iCloud. I do however, have a backup on my computer. What is the best way to go about getting these back on my phone? Just do a complete restore of the backup? Is there an easier way?

My X arrived at my parent's house today because you couldn't ship to anyone but the primary account holder. And now I have to wait until Thanksgiving to get it. Killing me!

 

Apple Music problems again. A couple albums had random songs removed and added as their own thing. For instance, Glass Animals' latest album is listed in full minus the song "Life Itself" which is now on its own as "life itself- single"

 

Hoping I can pick up my X today, was just on to the delivery company and they said they’ll get back to me about it.

 

One thing I would like is an option to hide the home line at the bottom of the screen. It doesn't bother me much, but once you're used to the gestures, you don't actually need it there.

 

I finally got to play with the phone today. I liked it a lot! :)

my iPhone 6 feels like it is on its last legs and I really want an X tbh but also...I like having other things as well. UGH!

 

I love the Apple silicone cases but I hate the amount of lint that gets picked up by them.

 

Just got the 8 64gb. I've always been about a version behind on tech so I don't mind not having the X, plus this fits my case, armband, etc. that I had for the 6. Switched to T-Mobile as well so with unlimited data I can just stream Apple Music/Overcast over cellular data now with reckless abandon, without having to monitor my downloads (was only at 40gb before though with poor app management so I have plenty of space).

Having an issue installing High Sierra on my MacBook Air though, the install screen didn't even move for 12 hours after I downloaded it. Anyone having the same issue?

Edit: Welp, apparently the camera is in a different position on the 8 so i'm gonna need a new case anyways lol.

 

This happening to anyone else? When I go to unlock my phone with Face ID it only has my wallpaper, no time/date anything on the lock screen

 

Seems like doing the factory re-store fixed my Apple TV issues. Kind of a pain to re-login to the apps, but it seems to have worked, so that’s tight.

 

Ordered a 256 GB X, Space Gray. It says the estimated delivery is Dec 06 - Dec 13; when can I realistically expect it? I have heard many are shipping early.

 

I'm so used to have a 16Gb iPhone that I'm always checking how much space I have left and get a smile on my face when I see 49.18 Gb left.

unsure about all the control centre complaints to be honest. maybe i just have monster hands. seems fine to me.

although it's probably much worse for left handed people. Apple should have introduced a southpaw mode.
