I may be one of the only people here that still regularly plays Battlefront and I definitely think you should jump on that deal. They've thrown in a ton of good content over the last few months with most of it being free. They're doing some cool stuff with May the 4th today too.

I loved Battlefront for a few weeks and then dropped it, as expected. Got it for £20 though so it was worth that.

I'm just waiting until Battlefront reaches EA Access. That honestly has been my best purchase for Xbox One so far.

That skin looks cool. Pixel Buster skin is A+ and I'm thinking of picking up Nox's Crimson Skin.

He is literally Sonic. Someone needs to make a build that can make him sonic and one punch man. I'd dig it so much.

Superhot is SO MUCH FUN. Had a blast and it reminds me of Super Time Force a bit with the instant replay at the end.

Story is also pretty interesting so far.

    Favorite Overwatch characters so far?

I love Reaper, being able to mist either into combat or out of it is amazing, also people don't expect you to use that teleport move at this point. It took some getting use to but getting behind people and shotgunning them to death is super fun.

Tracer is super fun too but I haven't gotten use to her yet, lots of folks kicking ass with her. Roadhogs grab and shotgun combo is great. I also really like playing that dude that skates around and plays music if I'm in the mood to not do a lot of killing. His support is great. Winston is a bad ass too.

Honestly every character I've played so far has been fun and completely different. And fighting against them you have to learn all their moves and weaknesses if you expect to be worth a damn.

I was playing Arena with Nox and we were down 41-6 and we just came back to end up winning 0-2. It was incredible despite the fact I went 9/6/7. The Hun Batz on our team carried us hard in the end.

Jason has said numerous times in multiple places that he wants actual discussion and thought not just saying "Lol" or "This sucks!" etc. part of the reason AP was so awful comment wise.

There's not much discussion to be had when you post lol especially when most of the time it's passive aggressive. And most of those kinds of responses have been prevalent in this thread both here and back on AP.

And our choice in console or franchise/games is not the be all end all for your life and other people's choices in it isn't hurting you. So discussing it in a manner in which we don't make other people feel bad or irritated is better.

Let's have a friendly discussion and agree to disagree. Nobody should be made fun of or made to feel bad because they think X or Y game or console is better. don't be aggressive about it. don't talk about gaming like your life depends on it. It's a reason why the community is looked down upon so much.

I don't feel like joining any other forums cause of the way people care so much about console or franchise wars or whatever. We should really keep that atmosphere out of here.

AP comments were terrible because of their actual posters and not because of brief emotional responses. It's clear Cameron found that guys statement to be ridiculous and he shouldn't have to elaborate with bullet points why if he doesn't feel like it. It's not like this is a board of high intellectuals meticulously parsing art and politics despite what some self important posters like to pretend.

EDIT: Further, if someone says "lol" to you and it hurts your feelings than maybe YOU need to do something about that. Learn some coping skills or something. Someone brushing off a statement you make (which, let's deflate our ego a bit, could very well have been dumb) is not the end of the world.

If you have an opinion, back it up. Open yourself up to discourse. "Lol" in response to a genuine statement is a bullshit, above it all response and there are so many better ways to engage with fellow human beings. I don't post in here much because I've been playing less video games lately, but in threads all throughout AP it was a slog to try and talk about anything if people were just falling back on "lol", and it was endlessly tiring.

The point is that excessive usage of that kind of reaction ("lol" or other similar comments) is not wanted on here and it's presented itself in this thread by multiple people many times already. And it was something that was all too prevalent on AP. More often than not, comments like this caused arguments which could have otherwise been avoided because there was no invitation to friendly discussion. Nobody said there needs to be bullet points or that they're hurt because someone said lol.

People making different console and gaming choices is also not the end of the world, so people reacting aggressively or passively aggressively and needing to get something in every time it's mentioned are the ones who should tone it down. This conversation tends to repeat itself every few months.

The kind of atmosphere that is created whenever people (anywhere) start saying they prefer this console or franchise over the other (and this could translate over to TV, books, music, etc) quickly turns into some people being defensive, and some people do act like their pride has been hurt when their platform of choice is spoken about in even a slightly unfavorable tone. I'm not singling anyone out here, just trying to speak generally. These kinds of reactions don't invite discussion, and it's totally okay if people are upset by that.

When talking about media in general, just remember that not everyone likes the same thing as you and that's okay because you're not going to be any more or less healthy, rich or happy because of it. So if we have multiple people (and again, this happened on APnet too often) responding with quick one phrase posts, be it "lol" or "fuck off" or "you're stupid because..." it eventually becomes hostile and unfriendly. Similarly, saying "despite what some self important posters like to pretend" is uncalled for.

I just want to be in here and post about how terrible I am in smite.

I also just had my best game with Nox where I went 5 kills, 8 deaths and 33 assists. I was just helping everyone. It was fun.

I also mastered her so now on to Hercules.

I will admit that I use "lol" way too much instead of actually expressing my thoughts and opinions in a more open manner. It is definitely an overused "phrase" if you want to call it and that and I agree with lightning13 that is comes off very passive aggressive. I for one will do my best to curb my use of it on here and hopefully in everyday chat as well.

Shit, I know right? Played a few games where the payload never even moved because builders would stack turrets right at the beginning and no one would kill them. It doesn't help that I have no interest in playing as one of them.
