Feel free to ignore this I just need to express it somewhere. I am so annoyed. After years of frustration I finally confronted one of my sisters with the fact that she needs to get her act together. She’s almost 30 and she’s in the exact same spot she was ten years ago. No progress. She still lives at home with my mom, she doesn’t work, she hasn’t been to school, she doesn’t do anything creative and when my grandma (who is 94 and healthy, but still up there) dies, my family is going to lose their house. I forget exactly why but that’s the way it is. Anyways, my mom shouldn’t have to look after her once that happens, but that is going to be the case unless she fucking does something with her life. I tried talking to my sister about this stuff before I moved but she wouldn’t have it. So a few months ago I sent her a big long text detailing how I’m frustrated and concerned for her, but it was all out of love and none of it was angry or demeaning. Never got a response. Over the next month, our texts have consisted of me going, “hey, will you ever get back to me” and her replying, “sorry *insert excuse here*, I’ll get back to you by the end of the week.” A few days after her last text I got from her, her boyfriend broke up with her and I knew then that I wouldn’t ever hear from her. But then I start hearing this shit from my family that she’s pissed because I never reached out to say anything about the breakup and I’m like WTF!?!? How are you gonna expect me to reach out when I’ve been trying to get you to respond to me for weeks!? My other sisters took my side and Sister A got very upset by that and couldn’t undertand the logic. Anyways, it’s been over three months since we’ve talked now and this is just fucking ridiculous. The sad and kind of fucked up thing?? I don’t even really care. I mean, yes, I’m frustrated because she’s being illogical, but even when we ARE talking, there is nothing of substance there and most of that is because she has absolutely nothing going on with her life. She was also very stubborn and estranged from my dad and then he randomly died a couple years ago from a heart attack. One would think that she would be like, “oh shit, I probably shouldn’t let this happen again.” But I guess not. It’s infuriating. Moreso because my mom doesn’t deserve this shit. My mom also had a heart attack recently (she’s ok thank jebus) and she’s the only one of her siblings that lives near my grandma. She doesn’t need this added stress. Wow, sorry for the vent but god damn. REEEEE!!!!!
