Movements is quality, especially the new album. A large number of people on this site just like to jump on the "everything pop punk, Fearless Records, Pure Noise Records, or Hopeless Records is awful" bandwagon that runs rampant around here.

I'm not saying you in specific. If it's not your thing then it's not your thing. That's fine, can't change if the band is your style or not. I'm more so talking about the people that will shit on anything pop punk and/or signed to a major label. Like relentlessly talk shit at any chance.

I enjoy pop punk, Honestly I feel its one of the most known genres in the scene and thats why people talk shit about it

are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

All jokes aside, all comments I make in this thread about pop punk are meant to be taken in jest. I have nothing against the music other than finding most of it to be stagnant and uninteresting, but that's an aside.

With that being said, the pop punk scene has lot of issues that need to be remedied to make it a more hospitable and less toxic space. That's a theme that has popped up on this site before and will likely continue to time and time again.

As a result, bad jokes will continue to be made. CARRY ON.

the people who you are saying call out bands signed to a "major label" are usually into a lot of mainstream pop and rap as well, which are on actual major labels and not big indies that might have major label distribution like the ones you mentioned. so that part of it is kind of ridiculous

The new Movements album is good stuff. I don't think I've heard any of their other music, though.

dunno if i have any strong feelings for/against movements but i find it funny that the bands that are starting up today are definitely using "sincerity" as their aesthetic/style crutch and definitely would have been neon-core eight years ago and still sound like it (i.e. that band Thousand Below sounds like sincere I See Stars)

The lead singer of Broadside will not be joining the band on their upcoming tour. Not sure what that means for the current state of the band.

They also recently lost their guitarist Niles. Unfortunate but wouldn't be surprised if this is the start of the end for them

I didn't see that tweet, thanks for posting it! Hopefully this all works out, Paradise was such a great album I would hate to see them end it because it wasn't promoted properly

When I hear new popular bands now as an adult, is this how adults felt when I listened bands as a teenager? I think so and I feel old.

Probably a bit irrelevant to this thread but this thread is the 4chan of Chorus so w/e
