Can't wait till tre madden beats out both the backs the Seahawks actually drafted

  2. I know they had to go OL in the 3rd, but man I was really hoping they would take Braxton Miller.

I like most of the guys Miami got

    Can't be mad about Tunsil

Xavien Howard I like a lot but I do think they reached a bit and also traded up when they didn't need to

Drake I am meh on. I have confidence in Gase to get him in the right packages. Again, they could've gotten him later and there were other RBs I liked more

Carroo I love. I think he might push to start over Stills. Plus stills is a free agent after this year

Scooby Wright is by far the best pick there value wise. Also love Jordan Payton and think he's underrated

The Jags draft is exactly what I wanted. The two best coverage players and athletes in the draft in the back 7, a very underrated QB in the late 6th round because Henne is not a real option if Bortles goes down, then four guys who can flat out rush the passer.

They basically completely replaced the sorry half of their defense this offseason. Jags defense has literally 6 out of 11 new starters this year compared to last year (Malik, Jalen, Myles, Amukamara, Gipson, Fowler) and way more depth, and we went out and got the best veteran left tackle we could to aid an offense that already took its step forward. We were putting up nearly 30 points a game in some stretches but we couldn't stop shit so what did we do? Loaded the living fuck out of our defense. I LOVE IT.

I've been singing Dave Caldwell's praises since the 2014 draft and still he did not fail to absolutely surprise; thrill, and amaze me pick after pick a second time in 3 years. Never in my wildest imagination did I think he could pull THIS off even after he's hit on 5 long term starters in a single draft before. Whatever the deal is with our coaching staff, I really feel like we have a top 5 team building GM in the NFL guiding our rebuild. (And similar roster builds for the Colts and Atlanta when he worked for those teams shows that he's done it before.) Maybe not a top GM financially by any means, he's never gotten a team out of cap hell, but in terms of player acquisition, he just has such a great sense for the value of talent.

I actually reserve the right to be highly frustrated if this roster can't at least go 8-8. There really is no excuse now. Caldwell and those scouts have given the coaches all the talent they can ask for the last 3 years.

The division as a whole looks more competitive

as mentioned earlier in the thread the AFC South may no longer be the joke of the league soon

After looking how the draft shook out, the Artie Burns pick doesn't look terrible. By their second round pick pretty much all of the first and second tier CBs were taken.

From there, I don't think they had any reaches and were able to address depth needs especially across the line backing corps in the late rounds. I do wish they would have doubled up on the safety position to increase their chances to hit on the position.

They stayed away from big names which is typical for a Steelers draft. I'm hopeful after this year or next year the secondary starts looking respectable again.

A lot of steelers draftnicks seem think the majority of the class is raw and won't truly be a factor until the season after this season. I'm surprised no one mentioned it was the first time the steelers took a corner in the 1st in forever during the draft, maybe I missed it

Yeah. First CB since Chad Scott. First DB since Polmalu. Hopefully Burns can hold a light to those guys.

The worst pick of the Jags draft was their 7th rounder. Scooby Wright or Tyler Matakevich should have absolutely been the pick. But hey, this was a damn near perfect draft and the fact that the only questionable pick was a 7th rounder backs that up.

I was thinking linebacker myself. Maybe some QB too since they dont have one of those.
